  1. Once upon a time this was probably a 5 star hotel but not by todays standards. But don’t let that put you off, it’s beautifully clean, food is fresh and the staff were all so amazing, nothing was too much trouble. There isn’t a variety of restaurants – just 1 special one and the buffet, but the buffet was great – lots of variety and top quality. Had a fabulous week and would definitely return.

  2. I would have given 0 stars for the staff, if it was possible. Although we did not ask for anything fixed from the reception, the staff kept coming to our room, opening the door WITHOUT knocking and asking us to come in to fix something. We are aware that we should have put the “do not disturb” sign on our door, but the least they could have done is simply knock on the door before opening it. Unacceptable.

  3. It’s a shame everything around it is now closed down post covid I guess so you are captive unless you spend €10 each way into Kos town or a 50 minute walk with hardly any places to stop off on route.
There’s only one bar open in the daytime so plenty of ques ,then that closes and the evening bar opens to chaos as they don’t restock the night before!
So again a 10 deep + que immediately it opens,
one person serving and limited drinks available as they spend the next hour trying to get it all out of the stockroom! Why they don’t prep it an hour before it opens?!
The ‘entertainment ‘ is 2 ladies doing everything from yoga in the day to karaoke at night!
There’s a roof top Bar which looked great in the pictures but it’s pay only and a DJ blasting music so loud you can’t talk, but the teenagers seem to love it .
Food is quite nice, had alot better but had worse, there’s always something for all tastes.
Has 7 floors so 3 lifts, but since we have been here only 1 working so be prepared to get in your steps or wait a long time for a lift!

  4. Just had a wonderful 7 nights at this fine hotel. Yes, it is not 5-star, but I doubt that anyone has paid 5 star prices to stay here recently. We certainly didn’t. Our room was cleaned perfectly daily and had the best view ever. The food in the buffet restaurant was superb and plentiful and the staff throughout the hotel were friendly and welcoming. A special mention must go to Zaneta in the Semeli Bar and Nastasia in the restaurant. They both provided us with perfect service all week. They are a credit to the hotel.

  5. We stayed here for free and still felt ripped off.

Our flight was cancelled so the airline put us up in this hotel… So we stayed for free.

We arrived, the staff were blunt, and dismissive, though they did give us a fruit bag to head to the room with.

The lifts took forever, 1 of 3 was out of order, which didn’t help given this hotel had accepted an entire flight of guests, all checking in at once (that says a lot)

We walked to the room, down a dark hallway, the carpet looking filthy in the middle and a lovely cream along the walls, probably the colour it was when it was laid 50 years ago judging by the amount of wear & tear.

The room, was an experience. It smelled musty, had a lovely view of the fire escape & some grass, along with traffic.

The bed covers were horrible, felt disgusting and dusty AF. We opted to throw them aside and just lay on top of the sheets… My head hit the headboard at which put I coughed on the amount of dust that showered my face.

I got up, put the Aircon on (when I figured it out, the control icons completely worn off of the thermostat) I headed to bed in what I can only describe as feeling like a waterbed… Only to start hearing running water.

I asked my missus if she heard it too, she did but initially thought it was outside… How would we hear running water in the room after all?

I got paranoid, flicked on the lights and sure enough the water was running from the ceiling, nice waterfall shower right under the Aircon unit.

I switched off the Aircon and just headed to bed, we were exhausted.

The next morning, my girlfriend jumped in the shower, at which point she found the shower head was so battered it didn’t stay in place and just blasted itself off the wall.

Next came the hair dryer… Where you had to pull the hose so hard it would nearly be coming off the wall in order to switch it on, my mum recognised it when I showed her, said it reminded her of going on holiday in the 60’s & 70’s …. probably when this hotel was last decorated.

We told reception about all of this the next morning to be told “okay, I’ll tell someone about it”.

The only good thing about the hotel was the rooftop bar, but it feels like it belongs in Magaluf, not Kos.
