  1. The hotel is nice, and the room was clean. The food at the buffet is fine, nothing crazy, though they start putting it away early. The events organised by the animation team were great and a lot of fun. The hotel is advertised as adults only but there were children the whole time. Biggest complaint is the cleaning ladies- they came to clean the room every morning which is great, and they honestly did an amazing job, but on one morning while our ‘do not disturb’ sign was up and we were sleeping, they knocked and tried to come in THREE times. This was between 9:30 and 10:15. They wanted our towels. They tried to come in again on a different day as well. They don’t speak a word of English so it was frustrating trying to ask them to come back later, especially after having to do that 3 times in one morning. On a separate occasion we wanted to nap after lunch but they had decided to change our mattress and didn’t make the bed right away, which was a minor nuisance

  2. Rooms very dated, floors very dirty. The all inclusive only allows house wine and spirits. The cocktails are from a box and not very nice….only 1 rude barman. No nightclub as it says, no minimarket. Food is average. We have had to go out every day because entertainment is 1 hr and not very good. The beds are rock hard and very thin mattresses. Will not be returning. We did find a fantastic little beach with bar and comfortable sun loungers close by which used every day. It is definitely not 4* more like a 2*.

  3. We rented a room in this hotel for two weeks, a nice clean hotel with friendly staff, the rooms are standard, the air conditioning in our room was rather weak and the variety of food could have been greater, and the Wi-Fi was slow, otherwise we were satisfied with everything. Across the road there is a beach with sun loungers and a car rental which we used. The hotel also has a club with techno and hardcore for those who like it, but we went to the center in the evening where it was more fun) A normal hotel on the islands, almost all of them are like that)

  4. Nice hotel, friendly staff – especially bar staff and animation team but not on the beach directly, 5 minute walk and have to pay for sunbed and parasol, 3 euros per day (only sandwich and soft drinks available at bar, no service at beds), only all inclusive with private beach/sunbeds that have needed to pay for so even though not much it was not clear about this before coming. Good canopies though. Good food usually, chicken usually overcooked but nice variety and delicious salads and watermelon

I would say that at some point when this hotel opened, it was classed as a 4 star hotel. After our stay, I would say it is most definitely NOT a 4 star hotel at all. It’s not all bad, it’s not all good either, but it was OK.
Let’s start with the good stuff.
Staff were amazing, the ladies on reception couldn’t help us more. Bar staff were fantastic.
The food – I couldn’t fault the food at all! Huge selection to choose from and all very tasty.
Now, the not so good stuff.
AC – for a hotel in a hot country, who advertise AC as part of what they offer, some serious work needs to be done on their system. When we first arrived, it was more like someone was blowing into the room, not cooling it down at all. I suffer with asthma, and on the first night I suffered an attack triggered by the heat, which made me very panicky. I spoke to reception staff and they sorted it, to an extent. It was better than it was, but it wasn’t what AC is supposed to be. My travelling companions were not so lucky. They spoke to reception at least 4 times to sort out the AC, the best they got was a warm breeze that made the hot room even hotter. They tried sleeping with the door open and screen door closed, it didn’t keep the mosquitoes out and they were bitten repeatedly. We were here in 30°+ heat, you would hope that you could have some respite away from it in your room?
Drinks – the all inclusive drinks are pretty bog standard, 4 cocktails you can choose from, all from a box. House spirits, beer and wine. The “juice” that is on offer is enough to rot your teeth after one swig, it’s super concentrated and so sweet. Bottled water, you have to pay extra for, you can have water from their dispenser, but it does have a very funny taste to it.
Rooms – The rooms are very outdated and shabby looking, like some parts of the hotel, I’ll get to that in a bit. Little boxes of heat that look like they need a good clean and updating. We had electrical sockets coming out of the wall, bathroom was drab and hotter than hell, the shower as you see from the pics was very basic. The beds, and I use the word beds very loosely, they are more like some kind of torture device. They are so hard that you wake up in the morning and crack like a glow stick! The pillows, you may as well be laying your head on cotton wool as you just sink into it, which then only adds to the heat!
Misleading information – There are several things that are STILL advertised when you book and on their website that are simply not true. They advertise a mini market in the hotel, false, this is shut down. They advertise a club on the complex, false, it has shut down. They advertise Hippocrates as an adult only hotel, false, there are children here. This should not be allowed to happen as its false advertising and should be rectified at once to stop misleading guests about what really isn’t there.
The rest of the hotel was a weird combination of modern and dated. There were big empty stretches of wall that must have once housed some kind of display/artwork, but now just looking dull and dreary and a bit sad. The pool was OK, the sunbeds need replacing as some are broken, discoloured and generally not looking too good. The pool itself was OK, it’s a bit green round the edges, but was very useful in cooling down. Only open from 10am til 6pm.
Overall, we had a good holiday. We didn’t spend all our time at the hotel as we had lots planned. The problem is, the hotel we got was not what was sold to us or what we paid for. We made the best of it, but deal breaker for me was the AC and the false advertising, it’s not acceptable to mislead guests and make them sleep in rooms that DO NOT have a functioning AC system.
If you want to stay in a 3 star hotel, then this is the place for you. But I would say, pay a little extra, go somewhere else and avoid the Kipriotis.
