A nice beach very close to the port and Main Street. A few bars that have sunbeds that you can use. The water is shallow, good views of the mountains and not very busy.
Kamares beach is one of the best of the island. Perfect for families with kids, shallow and sandy. There are umbrellas and sunbeds available and many beach bars to choose from! Easily accessible and parking close by.
One of the better beaches on the island of Sifnos. Lots of chairs under umbrellas to sit on. There are also some trees that provide good shade unlike some of the other beaches on the island. It’s right next to the center of town so it’s very close to good restaurants. The water is very clear and quite warm. Its good for small children as it is very calm and takes a while to get deep. If you want a proper swim you will have to walk out for a few meters until it gets deep.
An exceptionally clean and well maintained with soft sand. One side had chairs and resturaunt and the rest is just a open beach. It is one of the best beaches on the island. It is quiet and not packed with shops all along it. Just on the one side has shops. I would recommend staying in Kamares just for the beach.
The only con is that the beach is not that developed compared to a couple of the other beaches around the island.
There is also a lot of calm, protected water that you don’t have to worry about boats hitting you while you swim.
One of the most extraordinary beaches. I loved the blue waters and the fact that it’s near to the port and you can actually see the ships come and go. Lovely experience!
