Excellent
It is important on vacation to find a room so that you can return from the baths in the evenings and be able to calm down. Well, Kamares doesn’t offer anything like that. First of all, the lower rooms have no windows, the bathroom (it has a window but no sieve) has a wastebasket without a lid, the curtain gently hugs you when you bathe, telling you to keep washing, and in combination with the phone that was lost by two people, they created a bathroom that after you came out there was water up to the ceiling!!! Certainly the price is not expensive, but the owner could make a room for the same cost but with more love and thought. That is, you want to make several rooms next to each other, so yoke windows, so in the door where you have a small window like a window, one or two, three, do something! Bathroom since the cabin is expensive put a fixed mosque (sita phone and garbage can in the obvious). Finally, create added value with your services and emphasis on a couple of details, i.e. throw away the half-finished toilet paper from the previous one and there is no bed without a pillowcase!
A beautiful guesthouse!!! With vaulted rooms dominated by white and blue!!!! In a quiet place without being far from the central points of the island!!!
Classic without exaggeration with the feeling of calm that wins you over from the first contact
The room was nice & in a fairly advantageous location (in the center of the island) which made it easy to get around. In addition, the young manager of the hostel was kind & hospitable. However, I could not omit some negative elements that I noticed and that made my stay difficult during the days I was with my boyfriend in beautiful Kythira.
First of all: Out of my 6 nights, 4 of the hostel did not have hot water (not even lukewarm). In my own criteria I considered it UNACCEPTABLE. We regularly called the person in charge to sort it out, but the problem was temporarily solved & then repeated again & the problem remained.
In addition, I noticed that there was a “misery” in terms of placing toilet paper in the toilet. Allow me to comment, we were stingy with its use so as not to run out. (!) The “best” thing that happened? On our last night we had no toilet paper. Yes, we ran out as you heard. Fortunately there was a supermarket near us & we bought & were able to solve the issue by ourselves. But the specific FAULT is big.
Also, on the hostel’s page, I noticed that there is misinformation that the rooms are available at the price of 30 euros and that the rooms have air conditioning. The air conditioning was nothing but a fan. In order not to be unfair, I should mention that the rooms were cool enough so there was no problem, many times even the fan was not needed. But why write something that is not true???
Finally, every day they threw our garbage, mopped our room & changed our sheets which by the way were NEVER changed (I had a specific point of identification to confirm it & I am absolutely sure of it). The only thing that was changed were the towels. Well, that’s something.
