A Contrasting Experience: Cleanliness Matters
While affordability shines through, feedback has been varied regarding cleanliness standards. Some visitors have highlighted a need for the hotel to take better care of their rooms, mentioning issues such as blood stains from mosquitoes and an overall lack of upkeep. However, other guests appreciated the cleanliness and fresh linens provided during their stay.
Dining Delights Await
One of the highlights of staying at the Iro Hotel is the incredible dining experience at the nearby Sergio Hotel. Guests rave about the diverse breakfast and dinner options, which are both plentiful and delicious, making it a culinary highlight of their stay. Indulging in local flavors will elevate your experience.
The Pool: A Refreshing Retreat
Guests looking to beat the heat can enjoy the hotel’s swimming pool, a tranquil spot for relaxation after a day of exploration. Whether you want to soak up the sun or take a refreshing dip, the pool area provides a great ambiance for unwinding.
Rooms with a View (and a Bit of Character!)
Rooms at the Iro Hotel vary in appearance, with some guests pleasantly surprised by their accommodations despite the mixed reviews. While some rooms are described as small, they are generally organized and functional— a perfect fit for the practical traveler keen on enjoying their stay without excess.
Connectivity Challenges
While enjoying your stay, it’s essential to note that some guests experienced challenges with Wi-Fi connectivity. While the hotel staff appeared satisfied with the internet service, many visitors found it inadequate for their needs, suggesting guests come prepared with alternative entertainment options.
A Nightly Bustle
The excitement of being situated on a main street comes with its own set of experiences. Despite the vibrant location close to shops and restaurants, guests have noted the noise level can be disruptive, making it a consideration for light sleepers.
Warm Hospitality Awaits
One highlight of guests’ experiences tends to be the friendly demeanor of the hotel staff. Many have praised the team at the reception for their willingness to assist with any queries or concerns, making for a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall experience.
Bathrooms: A Shared Experience
While the hotel features connected bathrooms, some guests might find this arrangement a bit awkward, as noise from neighboring rooms can be intrusive. However, many have also pointed out that hot water and bathroom maintenance were reliable throughout their stay.
Essential Amenities
Even though some amenities, such as air conditioning and room service, came with additional fees, guests were able to manage their expectations based on the hotel’s pricing. For those who value simplicity and affordability over luxury, Iro Hotel remains a solid option.

about that the Internet, its not working or to slow so watch something on my laptop, phone and gf phone idk why for the people at the rezeption its woring good. Sometimes a little bit of blood from quished moskitos on the fresh bedsheets and walls , the electricity in the lobby is not working on 4 out of 5 power outlets.
The room was nit very clean and looked not so good like in the pictures. Our bathrooms are connectet with eatchother over pipes so you can hear everyone next to you who is with you on the wc at the same moment. The food is insane good and the dudes an the rezeption are very chill. Idk you have to know (i would not do it again)
Hotel was cheap and clean so everything i needed. It’s and old not fancy hotel but that was reflected on the cheap price so nothing wrong with that. There was a 1000 years old tv, not sure if was working as i didn’t even turned it on. There was no wifi at all even if it was advertised in the contract. There was also air conditioning in the contract but they asked you 3.5€ per day if you wanted to use it. Room service opened the door on me naked when I was going to shower even if there was a do not disturb sign on the door. The location is good as it’s 5 minutes from the beach but it’s on the main street and it’s extremely noisy all day and night, old wooden single glazed balcony door so it doesn’t suppress any noise.
I like the hotel and the twin hotel opposite it, where breakfast and dinner are served.
It also has a swimming pool!
The room (air-conditioned) is basic and spacious with a tiny balcony.
The food is good both for breakfast and dinner.
Older nice hotel with perfect location. Clean plain and simple rooms with little hard beds. Nice breakfast at hotel next to this (sergios hotel). Clean pool. Close to beach and bus stops and shops and restaurants.
After reading so many bad reviews I was expecting the worst room ever. Not sure if all rooms are the same, but our room had a double bed, closet and hangers, table, 2 lower benches (let’s say) where you could seat or put other things/clothes, so we had several places that served as storage.
Indeed, the room is quite small, but not exagerately..the balcony is tiny though. bathroom was spacious.
There was always hot water, towels were changed regularly, every 3 days. (we stayed for 7 nights and the towels were changed 2 times) and the bed sheets were changed on the 4th day. Room cleaning daily.
The breakfast, served at Sergio Hotel from 7:30-10:30 – was diverse, although some dishes repeated daily, but tasty, filling, and you could always pick different type of food each day, so you didn’t repeat what you ate.
To sum up, the room was small as size, but evrth was clean, organized, the service/reception – everyone was there to help and assist and make sure we enjoyed our stay. Which we did.
