Welcome to the Imperial Hotel: A Promise of Sunshine and Sand
Are you looking for a dream vacation destination? If so, the Imperial Hotel, located in the charming coastal town of Nea Skioni, promises sun, surf, and the perfect getaway. Nestled close to the beach, this establishment is ideal for beach lovers and those seeking to immerse themselves in the beauty of Greece. However, it’s imperative to learn from past guests’ experiences before committing to a stay.
A Mixed Bag of Reviews: What Past Guests Say
While the Imperial Hotel boasts an enviable location, past visitors have expressed mixed feelings about their experiences. It’s essential to sift through the reviews to understand what to expect: some guests rave about the proximity to the beach, while others caution against the hotel’s cleanliness and services. Let’s dive deeper into these experiences!
Location, Location, Location: The Silver Lining
One of the most frequently mentioned positives about the Imperial Hotel is its prime location. Situated close to the beach, it offers easy access to sun-soaked days and sea breezes. Imagine stepping out of your room and finding yourself just a few steps away from the shimmering waves – a perfect spot for a beach vacation!
Bread and Butter: The Dining Experience
Unfortunately, the culinary offerings at the Imperial Hotel fall short of expectations. Guests have uniformly critiqued the food for lack of variety and taste. Meals consist of repetitive dishes served in less-than-ideal conditions, and many diners report a lack of fresh ingredients. While there might be decent options available, securing them often seems challenging.
Cleaning Woes: A Cause for Concern
Numerous guests have flagged cleanliness as a significant issue at the Imperial Hotel. Reports of unclean rooms, unchanged linens, and substandard housekeeping practices alarmed many. It’s disheartening to learn that while the hotel has the potential to shine, neglect in cleanliness has significantly tainted the guest experience.
Celebrating Service: The Bright Spots
Despite the negatives, some guests appreciated the friendly demeanor of certain staff members, particularly the reception team. Acknowledging the efforts of personnel who genuinely want to enhance the guest experience helps paint a more balanced picture. However, the overall service quality appears to be inconsistent and lacking in professionalism.
The Pool: A Refreshing Idea Gone Awry
For those looking to dip into refreshing waters, the Imperial Hotel’s pool may not meet your expectations. Guests have reported issues with cleanliness and management of the pool area, dampening any hopes for a relaxing day by the water. It’s crucial for the hotel to invest in maintaining its recreational facilities to provide a truly pleasant experience.
Unsatisfactory Maintenance: A Cry for Attention
To ensure a comfortable stay, maintaining amenities and facilities is key. From malfunctioning air conditioning to poorly managed water supplies, many guests found these issues negatively impacting their experiences. Attention to the finer details is necessary for elevating the stay from subpar to superb.
Potential for Improvement: It’s Not All Bad
The Imperial Hotel possesses unique potential to enhance its appeal as a vacation spot. With necessary investments and management interventions, it could easily transform into an inviting haven for travelers. Guests believe that even small changes could significantly improve their overall experience.
A Gem Off the Coast: The Charm of Nea Skioni
In addition to its proximity to the beach, Nea Skioni’s vibrant atmosphere offers unique cultural experiences. Explore local shops, dine in quaint tavernas, and immerse yourself in the friendly community. A stay at the Imperial Hotel allows visitors to embrace all that this beautiful town has to offer.
Navigating Your Choices: Are You Ready?
Given varied reviews and experiences, potential visitors must approach the Imperial Hotel with open eyes. While enjoying the stunning location and beautiful beach, be prepared for a few inconveniences to manage.
A Cautionary Tale: The Value of Research
Before booking accommodation, remember the importance of due diligence. Investigate reviews and seek firsthand experiences. The Imperial Hotel may not be the choice for everyone; thus, being well-informed can help guarantee a memorable trip.
In Conclusion: The Choice is Yours
While the Imperial Hotel has its flaws, the beach and local charm beckon adventurous travelers. If you come fully informed and prepared, your experience could still be enjoyable despite the challenges. Seeking another option may ultimately lead you to a better vacation. Choose wisely and happy travels!

Where to start? This object is not a hotel. Do not be foold by pictures on different sites. Place is more like roadhouse in some suspicious part of town. Whole place is dirty, dirty and dirty. Cleaning lady (there is only one) is sitting, smoking and looking at phone instead of doing her job. Our room was not cleand whole stay, 8 days. She picked trash, after unsuccesful attempt to make my vife to do it. So guests clean their rooms in order not to get some desease.Women next doors to us was cleaning herself becouse they have baby. We had to grab towels becouse no one change them. Our sheets has not been changed whole stay, room was smelly, dirty courtains, dirty balcony doors…dust and sand everywhere. Food? Wooow, there are some stories about food…Same every day, tastless, served in dirty dishes, with impossible combinations (pasta or french fries you can´t combine with anything else) in dirty dining room in basement. It is really a miracle that no one get sick. That dining room, fool of cubboards full of dust and dirt and dirty, sticky floor is a real health danger and has not been cleand propperly for years. If you come little bit after start, you risk not to get meat or some other decent piece of meal (yes there are decent pieces) becouse what they serve at start, that is it and no more is taken out. The guy in dining room taking out the food, just say no more. And that´s it.
Only advantage is location close to the beach and nothing else. Generally it is a ripp off. Not worth money you pay even with discount.
Staff? Make you lough even to look at them. Specially two older guys in the kitchen and dining room. Girl at the reception got scared when we arrived and I sad we´re checking in. Yes, and we had to wait couple of hours after arrival to get room, becouse check in time is at 14,00 hours and room was not ready (probably couldn´t find cleaning lady). Not very good hotel policy. No one has any kind of uniform so you are not sure if they work there. There are about 5 people working in hotel and when I say working…well, leisure kind of work.
Pool? Awful, green water, dirt…make me sick just to look at it.
To be honest, the place has great potencial and with even small investments and good ideas could be transformed into a cosy place, close to the beach, in cute town of Nea Skioni, but obviously urges for far, far better managment, skilled workers, far more effort and far, far, far more work and more workers.
Don’t make the same mistake that we did and that check the Google maps reviews before considering to book a stay here. The hotel has no reviews on Booking.com, because all clients are asked by the hotel admin to cancel the booking and make a separate phone reservation in order to receive a discount. Besides the proximity to the beach and the receptionists (sister & brother) that were really nice and did their best to make our stay a bit more comfortable, the other services are close to awful. When we arrived, I had to clean the shelves that were full of dust and wasn’t able to place my clothes in the closet without doing this. Breakfast is the same every morning (no fruits or vegetables, only eggs, croissants, milk, butter, marmalade, cereals and bad quality cheese and ham). The cleaning ladies do not clean your room at all during your stay and don’t bring any extra soap/ shampoo/ toilet paper unless you ask at the reception (we were there for 7 nights and they only came every 2 days to take the trash). In the room there’s a guideline mentioning that the sheets are changed every 3 days, but it didn’t happen (on the 4th day I asked at the reception to have our sheets changed). Towels are not changed at all during a week stay. The bathroom ventilation and air conditioning are very noisy, there’s a constant noise in the room because of this. The pool was closed – when we arrived, they started to work on opening it and after a week it was still closed. All in all, I will never come back to this hotel.
Dirty, dirty, dirty. Whole place need good cleaning. Food is bad, same every day and there is no enough for all guests. No changing towels or bed linen. Staff is not interested in job, you won’t get information or solve problem. Poor maintenance and poor management. Only good thing is location close to the beach. Place has potential but with far better management and more skilled workers.
Well, its a nice place ngl, but that room service… Oh man…. A romanian gypsy cleaning your room at 6 AM while you are half a sleep, don’t know if she’s gonna rob you, or “clean” the room, and she doesn’t even clean it…. Take out the trash can and swipe couple of times with the broom. She didn’t even clean the bathroom, it was like a pool the entire time…. Even the door would close, we had to slam it real hard to close. And if you are in room 211, the TV may have some footprints on it, we had to slam it with a show half a dozen times just to work right… Also the food was, eeeehh… It was ok, but it was kinda dry
Dirty rooms and dirty sheets, also we asked for blankets and they didn’t provide to give us one. The food was repeating and it was terrible. One door was left without locking system. The only good thing was the town and the beach.
