  1. If you are looking for the perfect combination of off the beaten path adventure matched with peace and quiet this is your rental home and this is your Greek Island. Ikaria is a picture of untouched beauty. This home run by the family’s son Chris who lives in Athens was the perfect place for our family of 6 to stay. We had 4 kids with us ages: 1yr, 6yrs, 9yrs, and almost 13yrs. They had a pack n play and booster chair for our 15 month old. The view and outdoor spaces that the family have created are are out of this world and some of the prettiest I have ever seen. The location was so serene and quiet. My husband and I loved sitting on on the decks at night looking at the waves and the stars while our kids slept peacefully inside in the spacious 3 bedroom space. There was room for our kids to each take a rest inside everyday to nap, read, or write in their travel journals while my husband and I had time to read and relax. Chris was super accommodating and helpful and very fast with communication and email beforehand. He even helped us set up getting groceries put in the fridge ahead of time to help us not have to scramble to get food for the first few days for breakfast after we arrived. I asked if there was someone we could hire to cook us some authentic Greek food for the first few days also, and he suggested his mother. His mother and father live on the backside of the house and take incredible care of the property.
She cooked us dinner the first 3 nights and 2 lunches. We were not only grateful to pay for this service, it was some of the best food we ate all week on the island. It really gave my husband and I a few days to recover from our month of hard work overseas and adjust to vacation mode when we arrived in Ikaria. Our kids were taken care of and we didn’t have to worry about how to feed everyone in a foreign country those first few days. Well worth the money to us. We fell in love with Chris’ parent’s Rula and George. They treated us and our kiddos like family. We felt like they were our greek grandparents. They surprised us with a few yummy greek snacks: garlic sauce and sauteed grape leaves and a greek jello too, as well as local red wine and ikarian honey. George also went above and beyond and hand crafted our children each a souvenir: a wood heart he carved out, with a painted & carved island of ikaia in the middle. He coated the heart with sand from the basically private little beach that is a 3 minutes walk down from where the house sits. We loved the privacy of the home. The fact that there was a private pool right out the doors meant we could have the kids throw on swimsuits and jump right in. We didn’t have to pack everything up in bags and “go to the pool” for the day or even 3 hrs. We didn’t have to walk all the way back to a hotel to get the sunscreen if we forgot it. We just walked in the house and grabbed it. If my 1yr old needed a nap, we put him in his crib and brought the monitor outside and sat in the sun to sunbath or got to still play with the big kids in the pool. Not many places on the island have a pool like this, a view like this, & access to a small basically private beach down the hill. On top of that, the house sits above a beautiful rocky cliff-side that is super fun to explore. A few times as a family we went down the stairs below the pool & explored the boulders. The location of the home is very remote, but we loved this, especially with the food help the first few days that we set up ahead of time. There is a town about 10-15 min drive down the road in Nas where there are great restaurants too. The week was an authentic Greek experience. From a tour and wine tasting at a winery with the owner herself, to randomly finding a festival with roast goat & live greek music, to a hike in the gorge to Seychelles Beach – it was a vacation of a lifetime!

  2. So wonderful to stay at Endless Blue. Sunny deck with a saltwater pool, all the kitchen and living amenities. On a cove with a great little private beach. More like home than an AirB&B. But the nicest thing about it was Roula and George, caretakers and the owners parents. So helpful and fun to share our time with them and their friends. They took us to places and Roula’s moussaka is to die for! We had a great time!

  3. Unimaginable view. The terrace is directly pointed at the sun as it sets. Very nice owners. They invited us to a party with greek dances and goat meat ( that was delicious by the way, I didn’t expect that) and traditional music. A very nicely placed salt – water pool, that has almost crystal clear water
    – thanks to Giorgio and Rula( owners) –
The only problem is, that the owners don’t speak English. But it is perfect anyway!
