  1. One gate, very efficient airport for this island. Easy to check in luggage. Easy to arrive and receive rental car. Easy access to Agios Kyrkios and Therma. This airport “JIK” 50-minute flight from Athens “ATH.” Absolutely gorgeous scenery to see when the plane is about to land…gorgeous island and surroundings.

  2. It’s a very small airport and it does exactly what it is supposed to do: send you quickly out to your destination, there is only luggage lane, no passport control, the rental of the car is very quick, Lemy have an office right at luggage collection point. Water is free from the taps in the toilets. Get lots of cash before getting here.

  3. Olympic airline staff and Sky express did a great job.. they were welcoming, service oriented and had good communication skills in various languages. However the toilets in this airport are well below par for Europe. In both men’s and ladies toilets the cleanliness was well below the standards expected. Despite a number of flights coming and going there was NO toilet paper available over a 4 hour stretch .. so my wife enquired and a kind employee gave her a piece of kitchen towel paper. The toilets need refurbishing and regular cleaning and replacing of paper etc. There is an opportunity here to exceed expectations.. not the opposite. You cannot expect growth in tourism of any kind on Ikaria if this is the standard you aim for. About time someone set a better standard for this airport to match that which many well managed private business aim for on Ikaria. Immediate changes should be made and you should aspire for something better.
