Hotel St George is a charming traditional guesthouse in a very tranquil and peaceful village close to the Libyan sea. It’s owners, Pedros and Josephine are amazing hosts and really care about their guests needs. The food is great as well and they always have local dishes. The breakfast is the best I have had in Crete. If you want peace and a local vibe yet close to the beach but not on the beach, this is the place.
We spend a wonderful time here. The rooms have a very unique old schoolish style but with love for tiny details and the balcony offers a beautiful view of the ocean. The owners are very friendly and hospitable! I would very much recommend to take a breakfast, since it was very tasty and quite a lot 😀 and for that price a very genourus offer. We will def come back! Stay all well and healthy!
A lovely little hotel with an amazing view. Location is good, the beach is literally 2 minutes by car. The hosts, Pedros and Josephine are really nice and they are going the extra mile for their guests. You should defo try the breakfast as it will not disappoint you: great portion and delicious. If all goes well, this is not the last time we stayed here.
Lovely place, nice and peaceful. Near some very nice beaches (need a car). Very pleasant owners. Josephine (“Pinky”) speaks excellent English. Good food, no diet drinks! (We don’t diet in Crete!) They were happy for me to produce my own as I’m diabetic! Many people use this as a one night stop over; we were very happy having a longer laid back stay! Each room different, slightly kitsch, great fun. The Easter bunnies are still out in the dining room despite it being September. The elegantly dressed tailor’s dummy doing an excellent job as an unusual standard lamp made us smile. Once we got our main course ahead of our starters. It just all adds to the character! They’re pleasant, friendly and cheerful, as well as genuinely welcoming. And prices are very good. What’s not to like?! Well worth a visit.
Run by an older couple which puts a lot of effort into details. Rooms are a bit outdated and might need a refresher but it was clean. Did not eat anything at the hotel, so can’t review the food options.
