We took some sandwich & croissant before the trail, it was expensive & very bad. Industrial bread, industrial cheese, dry croissant for 3€. The shop at the parking propose better stuff. I give 2 stars instead of 1 because people were kind
We did not stay here, only had an pre-dinner snack of wine and cheese and olives and bread. It was the best food we had in all of Crete. I wish so much that we bought litres of their white wine to take home with us. It was very memorable.
This is the last place to stop before you enter Samara Gorge, fresh orange juice and breakfast was served get here early before it’s busy, toilets outside too. Service was quick.
Be warned for scamming. The prices are not clearly presented upfront. However, the worst is the fact that they actively try to scam you by overcharging. For example they say the price is euro 20, However, they try to charge 80 euros. After confronting them about this, they try to blame you for this fact, saying you didn’t correctly swipe your card. However, how can this after change the amount!. Also we were not the only members of our party for which these tricks were applied. Beste to pay cash and upfrontly check the prices!.
Stopped for a breakfast before Samaria Gorge. 2 croissants and a bottle of “fresh” orange juice was 10€. Items have no price tags so they lure you to buy overpriced stuff. That’s an unarmed robbery if I’ve ever seen one.
