I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and my recent 2-night stay at Hotel Alexandra was one of my favourites by a long shot! The place is family run and the staff are wonderful. They make you feel like you’re at home from the moment you arrive.
We got dropped off by the car our travel agent had booked for us on our first day of our island hopping adventure, and we foolishly didn’t have any cash with us yet for the busses to explore the island. We asked the manager where the nearest ATM was and he informed us it was in the next town over. Given the heat we decided walking there wasn’t the best option, so we asked for his recommendation on local taxis. He told us not to worry about expensive taxis, and that he would lend us €10 (from his own wallet I might add) so that we could take the bus and pay him back later. We were extremely thankful for this kind gesture and made sure to pay him back later that evening when we returned.
The rooms have clearly been renovated fairly recently and are surprisingly nice considering the low price.
The hotel is less than a minutes walk from a beautiful quiet beach, as you can see from my photo/video, and a section of the beach is serviced by the restaurant across the road which serves delicious food at very reasonable prices.
The breakfast at the hotel was included in our room price and was a great way to start each of our days. Everything is freshly prepared with care, and the atmosphere each morning was super inviting.
Overall this hotel was an awesome way to start about holiday, and we will absolutely be back some time in the future!
Most friendly staff and owner here. Their food are all home made, even sauce of pasta! Very delicious. Our favorite is their home made wine🧡room is very comfortable. View from balcony is amazing. In front of hotel has a wonderful beach, one of the best beach I have ever been. Although it’s a bit far from city centre but very worth it ! Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
