Good and bad like anything else:
The Good:
Staff is kind and attentive. All speak English.
Hotel is 5 min walk from the sea and 10 min from the main tourist shops and cafes.
The hotel has guarded car parking which feels necessary out here.
Rooms are cleaned daily and sheets/towels are restocked.
A flat was provided for a 3rd person free of charge (big plus)
The Bad:
Bathroom has no ventilation; nowhere for smells to go.
Refrigerator in room did not work despite the hotel staff assuring me that a technician had checked it and it works fine.
Toilet seat shifts around like it’s about to come off.
Telephone was not working but technician replaced it(only care about it for calling front desk)
Parking is 10$/day on top of 130+$/night and 10$/night city tax.
No free breakfast… it’s 15 euros/person
Not as nice as American holiday Inn hotels. Building is older and full of small spaces which unfortunately is standard for this part of the world
Holiday Inn Thessaloniki left a great impression on me. The service was excellent, and the rooms were very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the swimming pool, which had a fantastic view. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day. I will definitely stay here again when I’m in the city.
Old hotel in the heart of the city with terrible parking entrance. We stayed in a large 2 bed room suite. Bathroom has to be renovated definitely. Breakfast is lovely. The best part was the roof bar and service🍸 . The service is super friendly and super professional providing super coctails, snacks and a mosquito killer. Thanks a million for making it a great night .
Holiday Inn is an upgraded experience in Greece. This hotel is marvelously appointed with marble and wood. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Some fixtures and furniture in rooms are in need of minor repairs. Location is urban and best to use this hotel if you intend to use a taxi or tour bus rather than rental car for your visit to Greece. Restaurant offered remarkable meals.
I had a very comfortable stay at the Holiday Inn in Thessaloniki.
The staff was very helpful and hospitable. I called to inform that we will be travel with our 5 years old child and they have been kind enough to offer us a large room with a roll-away bed for the child.
The check in was very quick and efficient, even if there was also a group arriving at the same time with us.
The furniture is outdated, but still clean and functional. The mattress is comfortable, updated to the IHG standards.
We have welcomed with a much appreciated platter of fruits upon check in and all the staff was very kind with us.
We have tried also the restaurant up on the 9th floor for an alfresco dinner. The food was very tasteful, the service was excellent and the sunset view was amazing.
The location is also very convenient, just a 15 minutes walk to the port and the old town.
