Here, travelers can experience the authentic Greek way of life, with its narrow alleys, whitewashed houses, and welcoming locals. High Mill offers a refreshing change of pace to the bustling streets of Naoussa. Beyond the charm of High Mill, Paros is also a paradise for nature enthusiasts. The island offers a variety of scenic hikes, taking travelers through breathtaking landscapes and revealing hidden treasures. One of the most popular hikes is the journey to the top of Mount Profitis Ilias. As hikers make their way to the summit, they can discover hidden monasteries and ancient ruins, adding a touch of history to their adventure. For those seeking tranquility, Paros boasts pristine beaches that go beyond the typical tourist hotspots. I cannot comment on the room since our third party booking put us in an accessible room. Unfortunately the hotel was unable to move us due no vacancy. They did however give complimentary breakfast during our whole stay.
The customer service was excellent as was the food.
Thank you making up for others errors.
We stayed 3 nights (Sept. 28th-30th) and enjoyed it very much. Easy walking distance down the hill 10-15 minutes to downtown/waterfront of Parikia. Public bus stop right in front of the hotel – so easy access to Antiparos, Naousa, Leftkes, etc. The view from our room’s balcony was panoramic and we loved watching the ship traffic & sailboats. The expansive grounds & garden were lovely and the pool was huge. Fresh pomegranate & fig trees and many other fauna varieties. Lovely large outside patio area for eating buffet breakfast and any evening a-la-carte good choices. Our room was small, but nicely appointed. They do need to check the plumbing pipes — the shower water came up through the floor drain. Marianna (daytime front desk) was outstanding and gave us a quick tour upon arrival and always available to answer any island travel questions or make suggestions. The evening clerk was terrific as well. Alex in the restaurant area was very professional and courteous. The two other staff that handled luggage, etc. were prompt and friendly. The breakfast variety and abundance created by the kitchen staff was very enjoyable and the abundance of fresh fruit was a terrific way to start the day. They were closing for the season on October 1st, so we caught them at the end of the season. Hopefully they will do a bit “sprucing up” before next spring. The facilities are looking a bit tired in spots and need some attention. Overall, we loved the casual welcoming atmosphere and would certainly return again in a heart beat.
To be very honest, I do not believe a single word of all the bad reviews on this hotel. From the location, to the room, the views, to the staff, the breakfast, the facilities, the pools, the free parking. Everything is actually perfect. Our room was cleaned every single day, the staff from management to house keeping are all very sweet and helpful. The views are the die for. You are a 1 minute drive to the port of parikia. I loved my 4 night stay at the High Mill Hotel in Paros. Should I come back in Paros, I will be staying here again. Not second guessing that. Highly recommended Hotel!!!!
Hotel and gardens were beautiful!! No elevator, but the views from our room were were the hike up the stairs! We had a full patio overlooking the hotel grounds, pool (off season), and the ocean. And then a second patio on the back side that overlooked a vineyard. AMAZING. The sweet front desk attendant and another associate brought us a caraf of wine when we first got there for our Wedding Anniversary! They made us feel special. One of the best things about this hotel though was the Chef, George. He was absolutely phenomenal. Breakfast each morning was great, but we loved his company most. Oh, and I can’t forget his “made to order” dinners! Literally. You tell him the morning of or the day before so that he can get the fresh fish or meat of your choice and he’ll make you whatever your heart desires. Everything was mouth watering. Thank you St. George () for making sure our time at High Mill was special!
This hotel has some potential with the nice views from the upper level rooms but should be sold to someone who is willing to do the required updates and maintenance and who knows how to treat guests. The current owner/manager was very dismissive and seemed to think she was doing the guests a favor by allowing them to stay there! Location is OK but a long and dangerous walk to town (busy, dark street with limited sidewalks). All the rooms I saw were in need of updating with old beds, mattresses, linens, towels and bathrooms. The breakfasts were OK but they ran out of coffee every day we were there and instead of making more would pour water through the used coffee grounds. On the upside, Paros is a beautiful island with lots of things to see and many nice restaurants and friendly people (not including our hotel staff).
