  1. I ordered chicken tikka masala off uber eats and when I got it I’m not sure if it was even chicken tikka masala but it had the worst sickly sweet flavor ever. I couldn’t even finish the dish. It was as if they poured tamarind sauce all over the chicken. 30 dollars down the drain. Looked promising at first with the big portions but was let down by the foul taste.

  2. A hidden gem!! My husband has never had authentic Indian food before. I asked a few Dashers I know if they could recommend a good place. They all said Guru Palace, and they weren’t wrong. It is a local family owned restaurant. When you first walk in, the smell is amazing. It smells like fresh garlic and spices. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is very clean and open. We went on a Sunday and they had a buffet or you could order off the menu. We ordered off the menu and had Samosas for an appetizer. They were served with a cold cucumber mint dip and a sweet fig? sauce. Absolutely delicious. He had the chicken Korma and absolutely loved it. The chicken was tender and the yogurt sauce was creamy and delicious with a hint of nutmeg and other spices. I had the Paneer Tikka Masala, which is the Indian equivalent of cheese and tomato soup. The menu says they make their own cheese. It was very hearty. I like spicy, and having the spice level at about a 7/10 was a perfect balance with the cheese and the rice. The tomato base was homemade and not bitter or acidic. After the meal, they offer fennel seeds and licorice to cleanse your palate and freshen your breath. This is a fabulous place to go if you want really good Indian food. They also cook with a tandoori oven. They have many vegetarian options. They also have a bar that serves beer and wine. Also, they have take-out available and you can DoorDash it if you prefer to stay in, which is what many people do, so even if you don’t see a lot of cars in the parking lot, don’t let that dissuade you! Stick your head in the door and take a deep breath. You’ll see. 😉

  3. Absolutely LOVED my butter chicken, Naan & rice. Was terribly disappointed that my food was for UberEats delivery and no utensils were included. I should have left a note requesting the driver check for utensils, but it never occurred to me that a to-go order wouldn’t have them. While challenging to eat in my hotel room without fork or spoon, I enjoyed the flavors and would definitely eat here again.

  4. Just tried this place for the first time tonight. My family loved it! The food has so much flavor and it came out pretty quickly. The staff is awesome and definitely on top of everything. I had the butter chicken and my husband had chicken curry. We shared it with my son and he absolutely loved both dishes. The spice levels are awesome and the garlic naan is incredible. We will definitely be coming back again and again. Couldn’t add a picture because we ate it so fast.

  5. Another delicious Indian restaurant in Mesa. I have been eating Indian cuisine since the 1960’s. In India, Myanmar, Hong Kong, England, Indonesia, Malaysia and the United States. Chicken curry and Goat curry is like back in India and Myanmar. 👍👍👍. I grew up eating recipes similar back home. I have been to so many Indian restaurants and every restaurant cooks differently. Some cook it super spicy and some don’t. If you want spicy, Guru Palace has super spicy green pepper jalapeno at the buffet bar. Guru Palace is my favourite. My Norwegian girlfriend loves this restaurant. No complaints from us.
