Enjoying the sunset while swimming in the refreshing pool is a highlight that every visitor should experience.
Location, Location, Location!
The hotel’s prime location is just a ten-minute walk from local shops and taverns, giving guests easy access to explore the vibrant culture and flavors of Greece. A small beach nearby adds to the allure, providing more opportunities for sun-soaked relaxation.
A Morning Feast: Breakfast Delights
While many guests appreciated the breakfast offerings, enhancements to the quality of the selection could elevate the dining experience. With a little something for everyone, breakfast at Rahoni can be a delightful start to the day, setting the tone for a leisurely day ahead.
Rooms with a View: A Mixed Experience
Though the hotel boasts beautiful views from its accommodations, reviews indicate varying experiences with room quality. While some guests found their rooms to be mostly clean, others felt they didn’t meet the expectations set for a 5-star establishment.
The Allure of Privacy
Guests like Carmen Schoder celebrated the hotel’s child-free environment and privacy offered by its bungalows. The peaceful surroundings make Rahoni an attractive choice for couples or those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of crowded tourist spots.
Maintaining the 5-Star Standard: A Challenge
Despite its claims of being a 5-star hotel, several visitors expressed disappointment regarding the facilities. Issues such as outdated furniture, cleanliness concerns, and a lack of amenities such as room service and a functional bar area have surfaced in reviews, prompting potential visitors to stay informed.
Poolside Reflections: The Good and the Bad
The hotel features a lovely pool area where many guests enjoyed relaxing. However, some reviews indicated that maintenance could be improved, with concerns about cleanliness detracting from the overall appeal of a popular relaxation spot.
A Quick Trip to Town
For those with rental cars, the accessibility to nearby beaches and charming towns enhances the overall appeal of the hotel. Visitors can easily plan day trips to explore picturesque villages like Afytos, ensuring that every day spent at Rahoni can be uniquely enriching.
The Heart of Hospitality: A Study in Contrasts
One common theme in guest feedback is the hospitality of the staff. Many visitors, including Blerta Haxha, praised the warm and welcoming nature of the employees who work to create a homely atmosphere, emphasizing that attentive service can transform an ordinary stay into something special.
Music to Your Ears… or Not
While some guests appreciated the lively ambiance created by the poolside music, others found it disruptive. Balancing a relaxing environment with engaging entertainment is key to catering to diverse preferences among visitors.
A Pricey Affair: Does it Match Expectations?
Concerns regarding the perceived value for money were frequently mentioned by guests. While some appreciated their overall experience, others questioned whether the price met the actual offerings, leading to discussions about the hotel’s five-star status.
Quality Counts: Reviews on Amenities
While amenities like an iron are available, some guests found the lack of an ironing board inconvenient. Furthermore, missing bath slippers and robes are a minor disappointment for those expecting luxury. Understanding these nuances can help travelers set realistic expectations for their stay.
Final Thoughts: A Decision to Make
In conclusion, the Greek Pride Cronwell Rahoni Hotel combines stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere with evolving standards in guest amenities. Highly recommend this accommodation for a quiet and peaceful vacation. We stayed for 4 nights and everything was perfect. From the kindness of the staff to the amazing views of the location, it’s all you could need.
The pool is available all day and you can enjoy the sunset while swimming. There are shops and taverns 10 min walk away and also a small beach.
The quality of the breakfast selection could be improved but overall there is something for everyone to eat.
This is not 5*
The rooms and quality of fixtures aren’t what you’d expect for 5*, same for pool area.
No restaurant or bar open. Small selection of drinks from behind reception. No hospitality tray in rooms or glasses etc
Quality of towels and toiletries not 5*
Lots of areas closed off.
Parking poor.
Room passable as clean, but I had to redo surfaces and other areas. Sofa bed stained as was bed and pillows.
3* is all I would give. Very disappointed as what was promised or advertised was not available
This is not a 5 star hotel. Hear me out: The hotel is located on a wonderful spot with a fabulous view. There is a lot of privacy in the bungalows. And the child-free thing is cool. However, I would not recommend coming here again because it’s too expensive for what is has to offer.
– The room was okay clean, but there was still some dirt in the corners of the sofa
– All the furniture (including those at the breakfast area) are rather cheap and mediocre quality. The bed was nice though.
– The bathroom is old and the seams are dirty.
– There were some hair left in the hair dyer set.
– The shower curtains could be washed once in a while or – even better – replaced.
– There is no ironing service. The do have an iron though that they hand out to you, but there is no ironing board, so you have to iron it on your bed.
– The bar outside plays loud party music all day long from 11am on.
– The breakfast was okay, but not what I expect from a 5 star hotel. No plant milk options and very little vegan options, okay for vegetarians.
– The pool is nice, but again, not 5-star-nice
I was here in July 24-29, 2023. The hotel has a mesmerizing sea view. It is very quite and the breakfast is very tasty (I loved the egg eye). The staff are super kind and they make you feel home. If you travel by car you can go to different beaches every other day as well as visit Afytos and other villages/cities nearby. Definitely worth the money.
It is not a 5 star. More like a 3 star hotel. Their presentation is far from true. They do not have a restaurant for Lunch or dinner, no room service and no snack bar. The pool is dirty. The car parking is not enough for all guests and is far from beach/village. Cleaning is bad. Service is not good. Coffee is very bad. No bath slippers or robes. Very expensive.
