Welcome to Golden Odyssey Hotel
Welcome to the Golden Odyssey Hotel, nestled in the beautiful landscapes of Rhodes! Our hotel offers a blend of comfort and convenience for your perfect vacation. While we look forward to welcoming you, it’s important to consider both the charm of the property and the feedback from our recent guests to help manage your expectations.
A Glimpse into Accommodation
Most visitors find their stay comfortable, though experiences vary. Some guests have expressed disappointment regarding room sizes and cleanliness. While the air conditioning is praised in hotter months, issues such as uncleaned rooms and outdated decor can occur and contribute to a less-than-ideal experience.
Dining Experiences at Golden Odyssey
The dining options have garnered mixed reviews. On one hand, the restaurant staff often receive accolades for their friendliness and professionalism, making each dining experience enjoyable. However, the menu’s repetition and limited options have left some guests yearning for more variety, especially for fussy eaters or those with specific tastes.
The Poolside Experience
Relaxation by the pool is a highlight for many. However, visitor feedback reveals some concerns regarding cleanliness and safety, with numerous users noting inadequate supervision and hygiene practices. Be sure to prioritize safety as you enjoy your time in the water!
Child-Friendly Features: Water Slides Galore!
For families, the hotel boasts excellent water slides that delight children. Many families appreciated this feature and their children rank their stay highly due to the fun these slides provide. Still, parents should inquire about the children’s club to ensure its staff is attentive and engaging.
Entertainment Adventures Await
Entertainment options have drawn a range of feedback, with some enjoying the performances while others found them lacking. Understandably, families looking for a more engaging scene for all ages are encouraged to explore activities beyond the hotel for better options.
Accessibility to Local Attractions
While the hotel provides access to beautiful surroundings, some guests have noted that it takes roughly a 20-minute walk to reach the main shopping areas or the beach. A shuttle service is available, albeit often crowded, making it vital to plan outings accordingly.
Late-Night Arrivals: Dining Dilemmas
Please be advised that if you arrive late, dining options may be limited. Should you be arriving after hours, prepare to dine elsewhere or snack beforehand, as late-night treats within the hotel might not meet your needs.
Sipping and Socializing: Bar Feedback
Guests often have mixed feelings regarding the bar service and drink selection. The all-inclusive offer can be a great perk, but some have reported limited access to drinks and inadequate staffing, resulting in long wait times.
Recreation and Relaxation
While the hotel positions itself as a relaxing getaway, some feel the entertainment and overall vibe could be enhanced. If you’re seeking abundant activities nearby, it might be worth investigating what’s accessible outside the hotel.
Positive Vibes: Warm Staff Recognition
Despite mixed reviews, one shining aspect that repeatedly stands out is the hospitality of the restaurant staff. Many reviewers have praised their friendly demeanor and efficient service, making guests feel at home during meals.
Teetering Between Pros and Cons
With highlights such as location and warm staff offset by concerns over maintenance and cleanliness, it’s important to be aware of these factors before booking. Just as any destination, user feedback can help you weigh the pros and cons before your trip.
A Cautionary Tale: Heed the Reviews
Consider the varied experiences shared by past visitors. While some found their stay enjoyable and memorable, others encountered challenges that impacted their overall satisfaction. Arm yourself with knowledge and check for updated reviews before finalizing your decision.

Hotel clean, some staff were ignorant when requesting things, entertainment staff are great 10/10. It’s 20mins walk to main shop location. Shop closes 10.30pm and bar 11pm for all inclusive. If on a late flight expect to get in to no food options. Restaurant staff very friendly, was good food options but for fussy plain eaters not so much.
When we arrived we were shown a map and we had to find our own way to our room. The person on the desk wasn’t very friendly an older man and there was a younger man during the day who was quite rude and laughed at me when I was trying to tell him what beach we wanted to go to. The room was a lot smaller than we expected even though we had booked the supreme family room we were falling over each other to pass each other in one of the befmdrooms. The Tv didn’t work and room was outdated and we had a bit of a problem with ants. The bedsheets were not changed for the 11 days we stayed there. The air con worked well though and was a god send. The entertainment was non existent and seemed to be just one person the entertainments manager performing most of the time with Michael jackson tributes were he danced and mimed quite poorly. The kids club was non existent the room were it was supposed to be was filthy with broken toys that looked as if they had been picked up in a rubbish tip. There was broken tables and chairs. The staff in it were just constantly on their phone when they were supposed to be minding children and all the kids were given was pictures everyday to colour shockingly bad. There was 1 life guard at the slides and the other pools had none except 1 that sits most of the day in the games room drinking coffee and smoking. Pool policies were blatantly not adhered too with people still in the pools up to 3am in the morning.. it was a joke this hotel is a 2 star at best. Honestly the worst holiday we have been on. The bar staff were only interested in entertaining the younger female tourists and all inclusive rules did not apply to them as the barman joined in drinking shots with them. The condition of the pool was also unsafe with wires sticking out at the sides of the pool and 1 attempt to cover them up with a plastic disc? The selection for all inclusive drinks was really poor.. the only positive I can say really is the restaurant staff including the manager were extremely welcoming and very professional and maybe too efficient but top marks to them. The food was boring with only pizza on offer with chips every night for the kids and the food was repetitive and bland for the adults. Kids would go nowhere near the food on offer.. the shop in the hotel was a complete rip off inflatables were 30-40 euro in this shop when u could buy them down the road for 15.. I don’t know how they get away with charging the prices they do extortionate. The pool bar had 1 beer pump for the whole of the hotel during the day so the cues were ridiculous, and ice cream was only served between 2 and 4pm. 2 trays for hundreds of guests.. ridiculous. The food was the same every day, pretty much chips, burgers, nuggets, fish fingers. The only thing edible was the chips.. you weren’t allowed to fill up water bottles. Why I don’t know in temperatures of 35 degrees plus maybe they wanted u to buy bottled water in the shop only costs god know how much. Will definitely not return to this hotel if that’s what u can call it..
3 star max ! Restaurant was good staff where great in restaurant , the rooms dated and not clean properly cleaner also smoked as cleaned the room 🤢 so want happy entertainment was pretty pants if honest the hotel round main pool had a smell come out drains certain parts day sun beds pretty pants to but I absolutely loved Rhodes but my worst part was stays in hotels as very boring !! Included drinks pretty pants to sounds like a moan but we paid £4.5k for 2 weeks and want worth money for that if honest
If you ask the kids, the hotel is the best cause the water slides.
For me… the worse hotel in the world.
First night I slept with a cockroach on my bed and smell of sewerage.
When we ask to move a room, I got a smaller room than we pay for.
In The second night we had a sound of a rat from the roof top.
Very bad experience.
Honestly, the worse hotel in Greece
Air condition in the rooms is barely working. The food is nit good. The cocktails in the “all inclusive” are horrible. The place itself is 20 min uncomfortable walk from places of interest or the beach. They do have a shuttle service, but its extremly crowded. The staff at the reception were not friendly and not polite, when i told them we were missing a towel (cleaner took out the dirty towel and didnt leave a new one). They dont change towels everyday. Really, stay out of this hotel. You can find somethint better, it wont be hard at all!
