  1. We were impressed by this restaurant as the service and food were impeccable! They didn’t have a spaghetti in the menu, but they did some magic in the kitchen and brought delicious spaghetti for our 2,5 years old daughter. There is a playground in the garden, so you can eat and watch over the children. High chairs are available. In the toilet was even little toilet for children and there was a diaper changer. The food was amazing. You must try the fried potatoes!
This is great place to eat after the day spent at the lake Kournas!

  2. It is a family run restaurant. Yummy food, price quality is superb, service! Their chicken, milk and eggs are from their farm. They have vegan, vegetarian choice as well. The owner seem to speak very popular menu language 😉 They treated us with a free desert (like other customers). Their home made ice cream was delicious. Basically, a real Cretan food experience! Not touristic at all.

Their chicken, eggplant salad and baklava are one of the best ones we tried in Crete.

Also super kids friendly: from the playground to the toilet seat for the little people.

    Totally recommend!

  3. A real authentic place to eat. Friendly staff which took the time to explain the menu and made good suggestions. Aswell the starters as the main courses were simply delicious. The homemade baklava (made by the waiter’s sister) was amazing. To finish it all off we enjoyed the raki with a touch off the house (cinnamon and lime) and homemade cookies. A real loss if you pass and don’t stop there.

  4. Dropped by for lunch with my family before visiting the lake.

Its a short walk (5 mins) from the lake and a lovely place.

Free parking on site and it’s quite homely. Very relaxing and cosy. The staff are lovely and the ambience is nice.

The food was okay, but not worth the price. I suspect you are paying 1-2 euros more for being near a tourist site, so it’s not a massive deal breaker.

Two adults ended up costing nearly €64.

The chicken minestrone soup was the best, very tasty and hearty. The stuffed zucchini was nice but low in flavour. The fish was cooked perfectly but again lacked flavour. The lamb was very fatty and tougher than expected.

I ate lamb 8 times in Crete and this place had the toughest and fattiest lamb.

A good note is that they have lots of facilities for children. There’s a slide and a play area.

Someone wanted to smoke in the garden and the hostess kindly asked them to smoke away from the tables as we had our toddler there. That was appreciated

A little bit disturbing was the number of cats there (4).

I understand they belong to a neighbour, it’s not pleasant having cats watching your or trying to climb your table which has your food. Something to note of you have allergies or a phobia of cats.

Again the owner was helpful in having them leave us alone.

It appears to be a family restaurant and they are all very lovely and sweet.

  5. So nice place with great staff and service. Food was really delicious- like homemade. I really liked Greek salad- cheese was so good and soft. Rakia and cookies were provided like compliment. They have playground for kids- children were happy! Menu was on many languages. Parking is in front of cafe and it’s free. We were planning to go to a lake near cafe and they told us that we can leave car on their parking and go by foot till lake- around 5 minutes. I would recommend you to visit this cute and kind place with good people.
