  1. Wow. What can I say. This hotel is wonderful. We have been so well
Looked after from the moment we got here. The rooms are very clean and tidy and are made up every day without fail. The facilities are great. The pools are clean and fresh and the water park is great fun. The food has been amazing. So much choice with themed nights several times a week. This staff are amazing. So so warm and welcoming. The hotel is set on a hill and so it does have a number of climbs however there is a train that runs really frequently that takes you from reception all the way to the water park at the top. Cannot recommend this enough.

  2. We had a wonderful holiday at Fodele beach resort. Beautiful resort, super friendly personnel, delicious food and great balance between children and parent friendly. For example the cocktail bar is not directly next to the pool, and the “fun train” drives through the resort every 10 minutes. Our son loved this and made it easy go from A to B.

  3. Over-crowded self-service Hotel. You have to queue for everything. You arrived after 9hrs night travel at the hotel: sorry, your room will only be ready in three hours. Feel free to use the hotel lobby to get dressed. Fresh Beach Towels: go and take some yourself. Entrance to the (standard) restaurant: sorry, we are full, you have to wait 20 minutes. Want a beer: queue and wait 10 minutes. Want a lay chair at the beach? Get up at 8am and reserve some with your towel (if you were smart enough to keep one from the day before because you only get fresh ones after 10am).
The site is the only thing that deserves 5 stars. The rest is rather 2 stars.

  4. The roms are good size and clean, the staff friendly and the hotel area is beautiful. The two pools are nice, but there are to few sunbeds which are taken (”reserved” )with towels before 8.00 am, which is irritating. The beach has good sand, its very clean and has plenty of sunbeds. The aqua park is on top of the hill and has a small train that goes up and down all the time so you rarely have to wait more then 5 minutes.
The food is good, but with few variations. The main restaurant is large, with beautiful balcons, but inside the volymen is (as expected) quiet loud. The is a large variety of drinks and a bar both at the beach and in the aqua park, but they have only a small selection of food there. In the main restaurant there is a separate buffé for children where They can take their own food (it is lower and easier to reach) and sometimes it has surprises like popcorn or marshmallows.
Over all, we liked it very much.

  5. We stayed here from 3/07 till 14/07.
The hotel was very good! Food was, for an all-inn hotel, very good and lots of variation.
    The staff was extremely friendly!

The 3 thematic restaurants were decent, Ambrosia was the best one in my opinion.
Frankie Grill at the beach could use a more different approach then giving each table a platter of mixed grill. In my idea it’s to do it in like a buffet way so people can choose wich meat they eat (less food will be thrown away this way).

The room was comfortable and sufficed to our needs. Housekeeping cleaned our room every day and did a good job 👌
Two minor remarks though: our terrace felt cramped because it only had two openings off about a meter wide.
And our showerhead needed some descaling.

The different swimming pools and the beach were clean. The hotel even got the Blue Flag award when we were there.
Little tip: not much chairs at the main swimming pool so be in time to lay down your towels or you don’t have a spot.
At 10:30 the towelguy does a tour and removes towels from chairs who aren’t taken.
The waterpark surely is an extra if you travel with kids!

If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation this is a hotel to highlight but if you want to see more in Crete you definitly need a car as the hotel is around half an hour drive from Heraklion and 50 min to Rethymnon.
