If you buy stuff from this market as tourist expect prices 30-60% higher then they actually are. I asked in Greek the price for big bottle of oil and the answer was 38 euros. I did the same in another place in English, and the price went to 60 euros.
There was couple selling stuff there. We asked him the price and then when the wife made the total the prices marginally increased.
Buy things that don’t cost a lot and therefore the possble added difference would be lower. If you’re a tourist you’re a potential victim af this behaviour.
Just what I’d expect from a decent market placed where it is. No complaints at all about pricing, service, or quality of produce.
definitely recommend visiting the market. (mondays, thursdays and saturdays until 2pm). there was this lovely family who sold olives, spices, jam, … we had a great time chatting with them
