We have had a perfect time at Elia Apartments! The apartment was extremely well-equipped for a proper family holiday (8-month-old baby). Juliane at the reception was very helpful and addressed quickly all our questions in a helpful and professional way. She has also gone out of her way to send us our forgotten clothes for us with a courier in a proactive manner. Thanks for everything!!!
I would not recommend or go back there. The place has good potential, but it’s obvious that the hosts are trying to save money on many things. The hosts attitude was quite grumpy most of the time. On the first night at 4:30 am, the fire alarm went on for no reason and continue around one hour!! No one came or answered the phone, instead when we called they hung up several times. The next morning they just said they were sorry and the alarm battery died and they didn’t miss the opportunity to explain to us to turn off the air conditioner when we are out of the apartment because of the environment??? and if it breaks we will be without air conditioner because the technician will come in January… If you still leave the air conditioner on, then they will turn it off.
The maids only changed the sheets, towels and trash cans, but if you have leaves or pebbles or something on the ground (eg fallen from your shoes) or some forgotten empty packaging, obviously trash, it won’t be picked up. There was no broom and shovel to clean up by ourselves. There was a fountain on the porch that didn’t work, so it’s hard to wash the sand off your feet and shoes before you shower. The furniture was quite old, some broken, some creaky.
We decided to visit the pool one of the days where the host came around 11am and started telling the kids not us not to jump in the pool. When I asked why, she said because those are the rules and if someone drowns, will I go to jail for her…?! I said there is no lifeguard so we are responsible for our children and she explained that she is the lifeguard…So she is the host, the bartender, the lifeguard… The last day we decided to visit the pool again where other kids started to jump, but the same person said nothing to them!
Breakfast is very limited and the restaurant is only open during breakfast.
In my opinion and experience, the rating here is quite high. The place doesn’t deserve more than 3.
This is an excellent accommodation. The location is perfect, you are in the center but there is no chaos and crowd. A very well-equipped store, several restaurants, a wonderful bakery and a bar, all within a few meters of the apartment. Our apartment has 2 bedrooms, not big but enough. Both have their own balconies, the master bedroom has a large balcony. The living room, dining room and kitchen are one space that is very spacious. There is a wonderful terrace in front, tucked away in the greenery so you have some privacy. Every morning they come to take out the trash, on the fifth day we got clean towels for the third time and they already changed the bed linen. If you use the pool, you get a towel. The owner, Juliane, is an exceptionally kind, smiling and witty woman who responded positively and quickly to all our small and large requests.
I highly recommend it.
We were really satisfied with everything, just have cash with yourself because some services inside cannot be paid with card, but although you do not have it hosts will meet you halfway. There is a good parking close to the apartments, with 5-6 parking spaces, just announce your arrival time, they will do everything to save one for you. Pool is really of solid size, you can swim without problems, there are table tennis and table football close to the pool, outside shower and bar with affordable prices.
Everyone is nice and polite. The rooms are clean and the service is great too. The breakfast is 10/10. The Wi-Fi could be better. The location is, perfect, close to the beach and to the city centre, there is also a shop two steps away from the hotel. All in all it’s worth staying here, thank you for our nice stay.
