We had an absolutely wonderful vacation. The hotel boasts a beautiful property, complete with a pool and bar, allowing us to enjoy relaxing pool days with light meals and refreshing drinks conveniently at hand. The staff were exceptionally professional, attentive, and incredibly friendly. We had many pleasant conversations with them during our stay.
Our hotel room offered a breathtaking view of the Chora and the sea, where we watched the stunning sunsets every evening. The room itself was modern, newly furnished, and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. Everything was spotless, and we couldn’t find a single thing that bothered us.
The overall atmosphere was peaceful and serene, making it the perfect place to unwind and relax. All in all, it was a flawless experience, and we left feeling completely refreshed.
We had four wonderful days at El Mar in Naxos! The staff is very helpful and friendly! Their restaurant recommendations were spot on. They organized daily activities which were all fun, high quality and reasonably priced.
The pool has a beautiful view and the lounge chairs are crazy comfortable!
The location is ideal! It’s elevated so there always a nice breeze and it a quick walk to town and dozens of great restaurants.
The rooms are a good size and comfortable!
The taxis in Naxos are expensive, so the staff arranged to have a rental car delivered to hotel! Totally turn key! I would suggest renting a car. The island is big, with lots to see and do!
I would highly recommend staying at El Mar!
This was a great find. Arrival was calm and welcoming. Overall hotel very well presented and rooms were modern but comfortable – nicer than many 5 star hotels we’ve stayed in around the world. Views from the room, balcony and pool all fantastic- over looking the Aegean and the old castle town. Great size private balcony with comfy sofa to enjoy a glass of wine on. Nice touches while sitting by pool – complimentary glass of rose and ice tea another day. Olympia at reception was so helpful and really keen we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast is basic but ok to ease you into day. I used the spa and enjoyed a great massage. Location is slightly out of town but an easy 15 min walk to causeway to Porters and start of busy tourist area.
At first please keep in mind that a location of the hotel is a bit far away- 30 min on foot from the seaport and beaches – better to get a taxi if you have luggage.
Everything is new in the hotel.
Our room was upgraded to a large one on the first floor, hence you don’t have a better view to the sea from it.
But you have two bedrooms, if you have kids, better to stay on the first floor.
The fitness rooms looks fancy but it’s treadmill is useful only for walking, for running it is absolutely inconvenient and you cannot run with your original pace due to a specific incline of treadmill and your foot.
We asked instead of upgrading to fetch the room on the second floor, which significantly smaller but has a better view and more privacy and balcony.
Additional nuance is their breakfast for its price could be better. A lot of pastries but No vegetables, cereal and granola.
I must say our experience at El Mar Naxos was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. Every staff member went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect.
The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, providing us with a home away from home. The amenities offered were top-notch, and we particularly enjoyed the welcome drink and all notes provided from receptionist.
What truly stood out was the incredible service we received from everyone at the hotel. Each staff member, from the reception to the housekeeping team, treated us with utmost kindness and professionalism. They were always ready to assist us with a smile, making us feel valued and welcomed throughout our stay.
