Absolutely incredible experience- Hotel
is exactly what you think of when booking a 5 star hotel.
Location is amazing over looking the “moon beach” or white coast. While the hotel isn’t in any of the Milos towns, it’s 15 minutes or less to all
the major towns on the island. Sunset at this property is incredible.
The room are stunning, book a ocean view with plunge pool and you won’t regret it. We found it hard to pull ourselves away from our private pool, knowing we’d only get to soak up the view for a few days. Room is big enough for a couple, has great AC, comfortable bed, and is very function. Although the term “suite” is slightly misleading, we found the room to be perfect for a couple.
The breakfast was delicious, served with ocean views.
Staff was attentive, quick to respond to any request, and incredibly available during our whole stay. They booked us a buggy, helped with reservation/transfers, and made sure evething was up to par.
The common areas are beautiful, for a small hotel
they have two pools, one smaller pool overlooking the ocean, and a very large one running parallel to the property. During our stay we found both to be empty with more than enough seating for the amount of room at the hotel.
I’d highly recommend the Domes to anyone wanting to visit Milos, and I’d highly recommend visiting Milos before the island gets fully
discovered!
The final stop on our honeymoon – the perfect way to finish it. The staff is warm and friendly, the breakfast is amazing/delicious. Additionally, the drinks are top notch. While our room was on the smaller end, the views and pool made up for it. Would highly recommend to anyone!
There are not enough words to describe how amazing our stay was at Domes Hotel. Milos was the first stop on our honeymoon to Greece & Domes made sure to wow us! Our room had a stunning view of the water, Sarakaniko, & the sunset which stopped us in our tracks every day. The food at the restaurant downstairs was the best food on the entire island. My husband worked with the staff to set up a private sunset dinner on the sunset terrace & there are not enough words to describe the experience. Florence, the restaurant manager, made the experience one we will never forget. She is a star and the hotel is very lucky to have her (as were we)! The meticulous detail the chefs put into our meal were so special and possibly our favorite dinner we’ve ever had! Upon check out, they prepared us an early breakfast box so we could catch our ferry & even gave us a beautiful gift! Special shout out to Theo as well who was so friendly & gave us a ton of recommendations. Love love love this hotel & its staff. Don’t both staying anywhere except here!
Wow! This boutique hotel in Milos did not disappoint. The architectural aspects of
the hotel are so smart and cerebral but it’s the people that really make this place stand out. The guests were mostly American (a benefit for me :)) and really interesting, but the staff were so welcoming and so interesting they just set the vibe for the whole stay. Also, there were about eight kittens on the property learning how to live/laugh/love with each other :). Throw in an epic, introspective view and the Domes just made it magical for us.
Please note we booked the most expensive room they had available for our honeymoon.
BEWARE getting a room with a pool: they are NOT heated, and painted white so it doesn’t absorb any heat. We couldn’t swim in the pool we paid an extra €500 per night for, it was much colder than the ocean. Even if the pool was heated you have no privacy in your “private” pool; there is a pitiful amount of plant cover between the pools in the rooms.
Pros:
– Bed was comfortable
– Lounge chairs were good
– Toiletries were good & plentiful
– Plenty of water provided
– Front desk staff were incredibly helpful with rentals and activity planning. 5/5 for concierge staff
– Welcome treats were appreciated
– The restaurant was really good
Cons:
– A lot of little things were poorly finished. Serious “handyman” vibes
– Bathroom door you have to slam to lock
– If you use both shower heads the room starts to flood because the drain can’t keep up
– Drain was clogged in the sink and never drained properly
– Some kind of sewer smell from toilet
– Shower door didn’t seal so water got everywhere
– Tried to close the blinds and the entire thing fell on my head
– The restaurant menu was limited and never really changed, so if you’re staying a long time it begins to get boring. The “fish of the day” was the same fish every night we stayed there.
– The road on the way to the hotel was not paved and very bumpy/dusty. Not sure why they could build a nice hotel but couldn’t pave the road lol. Granted a lot of the roads in Milos were this way.
Cons related to location of the “best” room:
– Located right above the laundry area so you can hear staff chatting
– Your view to the right of your pool is.. a chain link fence!
– Even with the do not disturb sign on a guy came to clean the pool while we had the window open.
I would say, ultimately, for the price it was not worth it. It is still probably the best place to stay in Milos, but don’t bother upgrading on the room since the pool is unusable.
