Just spent a week at Danelis apartments and I can say this is the best place I have ever stayed. The owners Niko and Makis are so welcoming and friendly I would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to stay here.
Very good hotel with peace and relaxation!!! Friendly staff and very clean place!!! Beautiful pool to enjoy your vacation!!! Very close to the Village of Malia and at the same time in a quiet place!!! Definitely worth it!!!
This place is absolutely amazing! I spent 12 days here with my family (3 kids aged 7, 9, and 12), and we all loved it. The swimming pool is fantastic—clean, spacious, and equipped with plenty of floaties for everyone. They also provide beach towels and even offer sunscreen if you run out. The bar serves great food; we particularly enjoyed the club sandwiches we often had for lunch. The brothers, Nikos and Makis, are incredibly friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. I highly recommend staying here!
Absolutely loved this place. Nice family run apartments where Nikos and his family are so welcoming and can’t do enough for you. We had the breakfast option and Mama is a super cook.
It is spot on for families, a 10-15 minute walk to the main strip in Malia for the ones that want to party but also on 10 minute walk from the Old Town where there are lots of lovely restaurants to eat at.
The beach is probably at 30 minute walk, but that is the nicer one that is not full of tourists where the beach clubs want you to pay loads for Sun loungers.
We stayed for six nights at Danelis. It was perfectly located for us. Away enough for peaceful evenings yet close enough to everything Malia has to offer. The old town, high street and beach are an easy ten minute walk. The room was a great space with all the amenities you need, and private outdoor space. The owners were amazing hosts, we felt very comfortable, welcome and relaxed there. The room was made up daily which is great to come back to after exploring cretes many attractions. I loved having a night cap at danelis bar talking about the day with them. I can’t speak highly enough. Thank you Danelis for making my 36th one to remember! Also, try the Cretan breakfast!
