Avoid – they lie and will cancel your reservation without notice.
Right now we are stuck in the middle of Greece at midnight with nowhere to stay.
After two hours of waiting at the apartments and emailing and calling, the “host” told us she apparently cancelled our Agoda reservation and emailed me last week – except my Agoda app says the reservation is still valid and we received nothing.
Do not trust Crysalis. There are many other excellent reliable options in Kalamaki. Vacations are too short to rely on cheap options.

Beautiful rooms on the day, amazing landlady, excellent value for money!
Apartment facing the sea, well equipped and clean. We were very well received with little touches (house white wine, raki, house olive oil and fruit on our arrival). The beach is good with free deckchairs and parasols (bring shoes for swimming because there are large flat stones in the water)
On the other hand, it’s really not the prettiest town we’ve seen in Crete.
If you stay there, definitely eat at the family restaurant run by our host, his 80 year old mother and her son. Everything is homemade and it’s killer!!!
By chance we found accommodation here a few years ago and immediately felt at home! Maria, the hostess, is very warm, speaks English and German alternately – you can definitely communicate. The lower two apartments are huge and impress with their large terrace facing the sea; The small apartment upstairs impresses with its fantastic view from the balcony. Only the small room is a bit tight – but it’s enough to sleep. Everything is very clean, and to welcome you – in addition to the usual bathroom utensils – there is fresh fruit on the table and cold drinks in the fridge. Perfect!
