I stayed here 5yrs so on a work trip with a colleague and we had a great stay. The rooms were spacious but very lackluster, but the service was amazing! We were upgraded at no cost due to our company to the all inclusive package and the food was good and drinks were a bit watered down but flowed freely all day and night! The evening musical entertainment was also awesome, but definitely benefited from our energetic intervention! We kinda turned it into a club with the hotel staff and other guests that didn’t stop until about 4a.m.! Amazing time in a great place with picturesque views all around. Definitely recommend based on my experience!
This place is too nice for its own good. The setting is unbelievably gorgeous and the food was amazing. Service was great, etc. it is, however, pretty far out of the way, and they miss out on a lot of details. For instance, their site says there is a shuttle to Chania and that they have bikes you can use, neither of which are true. The showers leak, and the spa services, while good, are very expensive.
It’s a great place for families, but can’t say it’s worth the price.
Definitely not a 5* hotel, maintenance needed throughout including the rooms. Expect to be queuing for the mediocre drinks at the reception bar during the evening as there are never enough staff working. Terrace area is nice but lacks any atmosphere especially once the 11pm curfew for all inclusive guests finishes and the music is promptly turned off! Dining room staff are very friendly and helpful but you would expect a better standard of food offered. We chose to eat out at local restaurants 4 out of the 7 nights, this obviously added to our costs which we were not expecting seeing that it was not a budget holiday to start with. With hindsight we wished we had booked an hotel based on trip advisor ratings rather than expecting to be wowed by a 5* resort which this is not.
Excellent service, beautiful resort, spotlessly clean and wonderful daily menu. The staff were incredibly helpful towards me (I am disabled) and were nearby whenever I needed help. Highly recommended resort who welcome guests with a free 15 min massage, booked at your convenience. The spa facilities and choice were very good. It is remote but there are buses/taxi etc on site and some wonderful trails to walk where you’ll find little hidden gems such as bistros and bars within a short distance. If you are looking to spoil yourself and completely wind down/relax then this is the perfect place!
1. First of all this hotel is not a 5 star hotel, more like a 2 star!!
2. The food is truly awful, same thing for lunch and dinner everyday and of poor quality for the price we paid for the holiday. we ended up eating out 3 out of the 4 days we were staying!!
3. The alcoholic drinks are watered down and the quality was very poor
4. All inclusive service finishes at 11pm every night and at 12pm on day of check out which is bad if your flight is late on that evening
5. We were not told about the additional hotel taxes until we checked in
6. Staff are not that friendly
7. The spa is horrendous!!
8. We arrived at 11.30pm to a brown bag chucked at us with a cheap cheese and ham sandwich and an apple considering our flight left the UK at 3.30pm
9.There is no beach access from the hotel so you will need to travel
10. There’s literally nothing to do here so you will need to take the local bus to get to any nice beaches or cities. We are so thankful our stay was for just 4 days!!!
