When visiting a popular tourist destination like Mykonos, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the main attractions. However, beyond the glitzy beach clubs and lively nightlife, there is a diverse range of experiences awaiting travelers who are willing to step off the beaten path. One of the hidden gems that shouldn’t be missed is the charm of nearby villages. Whether it’s exploring the narrow, winding streets of Ano Mera or discovering the traditional way of life in Chora, these villages offer a glimpse into the local culture and a chance to connect with the island on a deeper level. For those who love the great outdoors, Mykonos has plenty to offer. The island is home to some incredible scenic hikes that take you through rolling hills, rugged cliffs, and stunning coastal vistas. One such hike leads to the famous Armenistis Lighthouse, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Aegean Sea and the neighboring islands. Another popular trail takes you to the ancient ruins of Delos, an island steeped in Greek mythology and history. These hikes not only provide a physical challenge, but also allow you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the island and escape the crowds. Mykonos is also known for its pristine beaches, and while the main beaches are undoubtedly beautiful, there are hidden gems waiting to be discovered. From secluded coves accessible only by boat to lesser-known sandy shores with crystal clear waters, there’s a beach to suit every taste. Imagine spending a day lounging on the soft white sands of Ftelia Beach, or snorkeling in the turquoise waters of Kapari Beach. These tranquil spots offer a peaceful escape from the more crowded beaches, allowing you to relax and unwind in a serene setting. In addition to the villages, hikes, and beaches, Mykonos boasts a vibrant food and drink scene that extends beyond the main tourist areas. Explore the charming streets of Little Venice and stumble upon cozy taverns serving up traditional Greek cuisine, or visit one of the local wineries to taste the island’s unique wines. For coffee lovers, be sure to check out the coffee shops that offer more than just a caffeine fix – they provide a sense of community and a place to connect with locals. Whether you’re sipping an espresso while people-watching on a lively square or enjoying a leisurely cappuccino in a cozy café, these moments of relaxation and connection are an integral part of the Mykonos experience. 1. My regular stop. Great team there and one of the most reasonable cafes on the island. It’s on the main road but well designed and comfortable. The also have a wide range of sandwiches and snacks.
A great pit stop for eat in or take out.

  2. Haven’t been able to locate any coffee place in Mykonos with a La Marzocco machine, this place has one. Amazing coffee as a result of the expensive machine and completely reasonable prices, €2.90 for an iced latter. Staff lovely and I will only be going here for my coffees from now on. Thank you!

  3. We were passing through the area and stumbled across the Coffee Break! There wasn’t a menu that I could see so I asked the best seller, they giggled (probably because I’m American) and I got an iced latte! So good! Very friendly staff. Thank you guys for being patient with me! Way better than Starbucks and Dunkin! Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

  4. Worst service ever. Went into an empty shop. Staff didn’t even bother to take an order when we stood at the empty counter. After q few mins of waiting, we walked off.
