We had an absolutely amazing stay at Chrousso Village Hotel with our family! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and the beautiful surroundings of this wonderful resort.
The accommodations were spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, making it a perfect home away from home. The amenities were top-notch, with well-maintained pools, lovely gardens, and a fantastic range of activities that kept both adults and kids entertained throughout our stay.
The food was exceptional, offering a delicious variety of dishes that catered to all tastes. The staff at the restaurants and bars were always friendly and attentive, ensuring we had a delightful dining experience every time.
One small suggestion for improvement would be to provide at least a bottle or two of drinking water in the rooms, as it can be challenging to find water during the night hours. Other than that, everything was perfect!
Overall, Chrousso Village Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun-filled family vacation. We can’t wait to return!
Really enjoyed the hotel. Loads of areas for children yet big enough to have some quiet time. Lovely small village about 30 min walk with lovely Taverners and small bars. Bus to next town was free and definitely worth it. Got free bus there and taxi back after going to old square, taxi is about 10 euros and about 10 minutes.
It’s nice place for stay with children. It’s located in a nice green garden with many flowers and several playgrounds. At the same time t’s quite crowded and busy. The pools could be bigger. Some rooms are very old and its infrastructure is fatigued. Food is nice but almost everyday is the same, based on pork, beaf and chicken, no Greek food or seafood.
Pros
– Location is great, close to the beach and away from the hush hush of the town. If you have a family and a car this is a good place to stay.
– staff work hard and do their best to help.
– entertainment team is spot on, they are the life of the party
– grounds are well maintained and place is nice and clean.
– large free parking and basic amenities at your convenience (shop, mini market and snack bar)
– rooms are nice, comfortable and modern (unless you book the standard entry level room which is a bit outdated and definitely not a 4*)
Cons
– food although cooked nicely, very repetitive and underwhelming, breakfast buffet lacks some basics such as pancakes, crepes or waffles or even some fresh juices
– fizzy drinks are all non branded, highly sugary products, the 5 “cocktails” available are terrible. If you want anything decent like a pina colada or a mojito you pay 10 euros per cocktail.
– No ice in the main restaurant so you have to go to the pool bar and then walk back to the restaurant
– No pizza in the buffet, if you want pizza you need to pay for it at the a la carte restaurant
– smoking is allowed everywhere in the hotel unless you’re in the restaurant or reception. no such thing as non smoking areas so if you’re not a smoker you will have a bad time
– space is clearly an issue. The hotel has too many rooms and it just feels very overcrowded. Pools become too small for the number of guests, main restaurant gets packed to the point you have nowhere to sit at rush hour.
– There’s no dedicated area for evening entertainment so music plays from the restaurant/ pool area every 3/4 days until 10-11 pm meaning if you want to chill on a Tuesday or Friday you will struggle.
Did we have a good time? Yes we did, but we were lucky enough to have a rented car and escape the hotel whenever we wanted. Would we come back? Probably not
In all honesty the hotel is over-promising by selling itself as a 4* rating, that has caused some disappointment
The best place in Halkidiki. Location, hotel, rooms and staff. Rooms cleaned every day including towels. Advice to go all inclusive, because everything is included: food and drinks. Any kind of drinks. Also is a la carte restaurant if you get bored about the food.
Paliouri beach 5-10 min walking and go for the paid area. Treat yourself with the best service and food on the beach. Will cost you between 50-100 euros for 2 adults and a child. This includes food and sunbeds.
The resort has 2 pools and a lot of activities around.
