1. Rooms are not as on photos on the website. We booked two rooms, one of which was very small, with broken air conditioner.
2. Hotel staff was insisting on upfront payment without showing rooms and letting know in advance about payment requirement having 40% deposit from our family for 16 nights.
3. Noisy on evenings because of music in two night clubs located next to the hotel.
4. Deposit required for beach towels and for their usage. 5 euro per towel per week plus 5 euro deposit.
We stayed at Chrispy Beach Resort for 15 days, and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very professional, welcoming and helpful. Also we got recommendations for things to see and do in the island while we were there. We really enjoyed seeing other parts of Greece too!
If we had any problems with the room or needed anything the staff were quick to fix the problem or help us in any other way. The rooms were clean and they cleaned often enough. When one of us got a stomach virus they cleaned our room some extra.
We bumped into some issues when our flight got cancelled, the staff quickly booked us for another night in the same room we had stayed in for 14 days. Really appreciate how quickly we got to check in again.
The pool was a good place to take a swim and the beach was very nice. Good sun beds and you could order food and drinks both places.
The only recommendation I have is related to the food. The food in general was good at both the buffet and the restaurant. But I can’t have gluten and the menu at the restaurant made it difficult to know what I could eat at times. I know you’ve recently renovated and will do some more renovations. I hope that you get a better overview in your menu which allergens is in each meal, and please add which ones you can do allergy friendly. It will be easier for the guests and staff I think. All in all we always figured out what I could eat when we asked the staff and they then asked the kitchen staff.
We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day.

Exceptional resort in front of one of the best sand beaches of Chania. Food was top-notch and the staff extremely polite and willing to find solutions in anything that we needed. Thank you once again and we’ll sure be back in the future.
Don’t trust this hotel – they will lie you in the eyes to get your money.
1. The rooms are not the same, as shown on the renders. If you have been to lianthos before – note that the new owners optimised the rooms by splitt8ng them into two
2. The hotel is just partly renovated, with some rooms and areas still dating back to 1990s.
3. Breakfasts are below average with “help yourself” service.
4. You will be robbed for each penny you have. You will pay for the sunbeds on the beach and even beach towels. Moreover, you will be asked to provide a DEPOSIT for the beach towels.
5. No everyday cleaning – Sunday is a day-off for the maids.
6. Reservation manager and the new owner follow “take what you get” approach and have no idea of hospitality.
