Cavo Vezal

Welcome to Cavo Vezal: Your Ideal Vacation Destination

The Jewel of Laganas

Nestled just two streets away from the vibrant nightlife of Laganas, Cavo Vezal beckons tourists with its modern appeal and exceptional hospitality. This hotel has quickly become a favorite retreat for guests seeking a blend of relaxation and excitement.

A Clean and Modern Oasis

Cavo Vezal boasts a visually stunning design that enchants visitors from the moment they arrive. Guests appreciate the cleanliness and stylish interiors, setting a sophisticated tone for their stay. As one reviewer eloquently put it, this hotel is "really a nice looking hotel, very clean and modern."

A Culinary Delight

Guests rave about the hotel’s dining options, particularly the delightful breakfast and lunch—a perfect blend of aesthetic appeal and flavor. The changing daily menu adds a touch of excitement for returning diners, while the special Greek dinner nights leave a lasting impression on guests’ palates.

Smaller Buffets, Greater Quality

With a more intimate setting compared to larger hotels, Cavo Vezal allows for a focused approach to food quality. The smaller buffet, especially during themed nights, ensures that the culinary experience is memorable and flavorful, earning praise from many visitors.

Refreshing Pools

The hotel features well-maintained pool facilities that provide a great retreat for sun-seekers. However, guests note that expected larger pools based on promotional images might leave some craving more space to swim and relax.

Battle for Sunbeds

While the pools are lovely, hotel-goers frequently comment on the challenge of securing sunbeds. The daily "battle of the sunbeds," as one guest affectionately termed it, can create a humorous yet competitive atmosphere as guests rush to claim their spots early in the day.

A Welcoming Atmosphere

Cavo Vezal has garnered a reputation for its friendly and accommodating staff, whose dedication enhances the overall guest experience. From the reception team to the cleaning crew, every employee showcases a commitment to making your stay enjoyable.

Family-Friendly and Fun-Focused

The hotel caters to a younger crowd, primarily Dutch tourists aged 20-30. This youthful energy creates an exciting and lively ambiance that visitors can embrace, with evenings filled with themed entertainment, including Greek nights and DJ performances.

Beyond the Strip

While guests enjoy close proximity to Laganas’ nightlife, some suggest that guests may want to explore further, as they find the town’s charm can wear off after a few days. Renting a quad bike is recommended for more adventurous exploration around the beautiful island of Zakynthos.

A Personal Touch

Many guests are delighted by thoughtful gestures, such as surprise birthday treats upon arrival. Such personalized touches contribute to creating warm memories, ensuring visitors feel valued and special during their stay.

Tidiness and Attention to Detail

The housekeeping staff has received accolades for their diligent work, ensuring that rooms remain tidy and well-presented throughout guests’ stays. Attention to cleanliness plays a crucial role in the overall guest satisfaction.

A Wish for Variety

Guests appreciate the fresh offerings at the buffet but express a desire for more diversity, especially at dinner. While the food is generally good, the addition of more options could enhance the overall dining experience.

Small but Busy

The hotel’s capacity of approximately 60 rooms can make it feel crowded at times, especially during guest transition periods. While the bustle adds vibrancy, some visitors have noticed it leading to a slight decrease in service levels.

Modern Luxuries with a Few Quirks

Despite being a new establishment, Cavo Vezal faces initial operational challenges. Some guests report minor hiccups, such as inconsistent Wi-Fi and occasional communications mix-ups, which the staff works diligently to resolve.

Safety Concerns Addressed

The hotel staff’s willingness to assist guests is commendable; however, some visitors have highlighted a need for improved medical accessibility on-site. Enhancing first aid services could provide greater peace of mind for all guests.

An Inviting Design

The hotel features spacious and beautifully designed rooms that are perfect for relaxation after a long day. Stylish decor, comfortable beds, and modern amenities create a sanctuary for visitors seeking respite.

Mixed Notes on Sunbed Options

The uniqueness of swim-up rooms sounds enticing, but some guests found them less valuable due to limited sunlight. Discover how to secure a sunbed early or enjoy one of the common spaces offered by the hotel.

Connecting to Nature

With captivating views just outside, Cavo Vezal encourages guests to take a step outside and enjoy the warm breeze of the island. Enjoy outdoor activities or simply indulge in soaking up the sun and reveling in the refreshing environment.

Final Thoughts on Cavo Vezal

Wrapping up, many guests walk away with fond memories and a strong desire to return. Despite minor drawbacks, the overall charm, delightful staff, and great location paint a promising picture for future visitors. Cavo Vezal awaits your arrival for an unforgettable getaway!

  1. It is really a nice looking hotel, very clean and modern looking.
Keep in mind, Almost every guest is Dutch (since it’s a Tui exclusive *Aug 2022)

The food it good, specially the breakfast and lunch exactly like you see online in the photo’s. We liked it everytime we did eat there, almost everyday the menu differs a bit. As for the diner, it is fine at least much better than in the bigger hotels, since this is a smaller hotel it has a smaller buffet and there can be paid more attention to the quality of the food, specialy the theme nights. We loved the Greek night/ food (friday’s).

The pool/ pools are also fine, only thing we expected it to be a bit larger based on the pictures of the hotel.
As for the sunbeds. Most of the days there a not enough of them.
Specialy if you want a bed with a sunshade, because it will get very hot in the inner “yard” like building of the hotel, almost no wind will get in there.

Entertainment/ evenings, are mwuah… there is a greek night, a ‘dj’ evening and jazz like band. It is busy til like 22.30h and at 23.00h almost everyone is gone to their room or to the Laganas strip for some entertainment (drinks are payable After 23.00h)

Minor downside, it can be very busy on some days because of the change of guests.

If you are doubting it’s location it’s a yes and no, it is literally 2 streets away from “the strip” but we had never been bothered by it. Other ting about the location, you need a vehicle to see things around the island, Laganas isn’t very interesting After a few days. Tip: rent a Quad at the reception, the receptionists are very helpfull.

All in all we had a wonderfull stay at Cavo Vezal and would recommend this to other people (age 20-30).

  2. Starting our holiday here was amazing. I got a birthdaypie on my room when i arrived. The reception is very welcoming and cheerfull. The kitchen staff is very professional and the buffet is always freshly served. Personally i’d like to see a few more varities at the dinner-buffet.

Another big + are the cleaning ladies.
They do their job very very well and like any other staff member they work very hard.

Only minus are the (dutch) tourists that keep the poolbeds occupied for as long as possible. There is not enough space to put more beds but there is a shortage.

Overall experience, great, clean, friendly and professional hotel.

  3. Great and friendly staff, nice and clean rooms but the swimming pool and lounge area seem way too small for the 60 or so rooms they have. Even though we were not spending a lot of time at the hotel it was quite cringeworthy (and funny at the same time) to see the ‘battle of the sun beds’ every morning. The location of the hotel is great though. You’re very close to the beach and nightlife if you’re looking for that. The food was good but nothing to write home about. Unfortunately they don’t have a gym although the closest one is a 20 minute walk.

  4. This new hotel is alright. On the positive side the staff is absolutely excellent and the design is beautiful. Also, the hotel is close to the beach and there is a little shop just a few minutes away. On the other hand, the pool is very small and there is a very limited amount of sun beds. Often people will place towels early in the morning (even though the rules state otherwise), which is very annoying and therefore you are always struggling to find a spot. We left the hotel most of the days as to not be part of this stupid race for sun beds. The food is alright, although our expectation was a bit higher for this place. Drink choices are also limited, for example there are no different wine options.

  5. Nice vacation, but not really the honeymoon we hoped for.

We really enjoyed our time here, but it was not worth the money we paid. They sell themselves as a high class hotel but do not have the facilities to be so. They can not handle the amount of people. The wifi, food, service etc get worse with the amount of people in the hotel.

Brand new, modern looking and luxurious hotel. Staff is really kind! Simos and Spiros and the ladies of the restaurant in particular.

The pool is nice and the sunbeds are amazing!

Room is clean enough, spacious and the beds are great. Rain shower is nice. The door of the shower is hard to be opened, so you have to be long enough to pull open the door at the top, otherwise you’ll get stuck inside.

Good food, each day different, but not really a wide choice.

    Down sides:
    1. Swim-up room is not worth the money. To small a space, with one sunbed and only 2 hours of sun a day.

    2. Therefor there are not enough sunbeds by the pool. No one wants to use his swim-up. So if you like to sleep in you won’t have a sunbed.

    3. Floors are really slippery. We have seen a lot of people badly hurting because they slipped.

    4. No medical assistance. One guy chopped of the top of his finger and they gave him 2 plasters. Ridiculous because the guy needed medical attention and a bandage. But they do not have a first aid kit.

    5. We experienced a lot of start-up problems. We have had a flood in the room because of a blocked sewer. This can happen and was resolved rather quickly. And there were more things like that.

    6. We had to check ourself out the morning we left, because the night watch was sleeping and there was nobody else to help us. At the very end, already in the bus someone came with the promised breakfast and the night watch wanted us to come out en check out but the bus driver got sick of it an drove away.
