The suite itself is stunning – better than the photos can show. It is situated directly between the blue domes, and the view from the hot tub was just incredible.
The suite itself was very nice and clean. The kitchenette had everything you might need, including an electric stove, pots and pans, etc. It was a very spacious place. The one downside was that there was no door for the bathroom, meaning that when we showered, the others would have to go hang out on the balcony. I would say that this place is probably better suited for couples.
Our host Elèna was super kind. She helped us organize our taxis to and from the hotel, arranged some excursions, and was generally super kind and helpful. She made our time much better.
I would say there are two downsides to this place:
One was tourists walking into the private areas, as the popular photo location sits at the entrance to many of the suites including this one. People would often just wander into our balcony and the other suites nearby. Some people were extremely shameless and would even get sassy when asked to leave. It gets particularly bad around sunset.
The other is that the steps leading down are uneven and steep, making this not ideal for people with disabilities, the elderly, or those with a fear of heights. For me this was not a problem, but for two people staying with us it was a challenge.
Overall, even with the negatives, I would strongly recommend staying here. It was incredibly relaxing, very clean and very nice. It was a near-perfect time! Thank you so much Elèna!
Most amazing hotel experience! The suite is large and spacious. We stayed with our two children and each kid had their own space. We loved the location. No fighting with cruise passengers for pictures of the blue domed churches! There are a LOT of stairs to go up and down to get to the main road. Our host Anastasia helped us get dinner reservations and even helped us find a new boat cruise, same day, when ours was cancelled. The breakfast is huge, the jacuzzi is refreshing, and the views are dynamic.
Have some hesitation after reviewing some of negative comment in google. Upon arrival, we love the cave house. It’s clean and spacious. The location is great although the pathway to the house may be blocked by someone who take the photo, it’s not a big problem. It means the view from the hot tub is great!
Zina is our hoist during our stay, she is great and caring.
Room was excellent! Excellent decor. Only tricky part was the stairs where tourists would take pictures blocking the path down. Views were breathtaking. Jacuzzi was great after a long day! Only missing some matches for the candles that would really turn up the romance in the shower!
Firstly the views are absolutely stunning, better than the pictures. However, you can go there easily and take photos so there is no need to stay here especially as the experience is poor. The accommodation was not cleaned properly, and dirty. There were hairs everywhere, insects and dirt floating in the jacuzzi plus to top it all off the sun bed was covered in pistachio nut shells. This completely spoilt the stay for us.
Additionally, we arranged a pickup at 1pm at the meeting point with the owner but they were 45 minutes late, so we were standing in the hot weather with our suitcases waiting for them to arrive. Not what we were expecting from a 640 euro per night accommodation. Very cramped on the sun deck also lack of an umbrella means you can’t get any shade.
Also, Inslfluencers and photographers freely entered the property grounds saying they have permission from the owner which surprised us.
We checked out early, and looked forward to breakfast as we saw the menu on line. When we got there we got given a set menu, which was different but looked good. It was only when we mentioned the Cave Suite that the waiter apologised and gave us the most basic menu, very different to the online menu.
