My girlfriend and I had the most incredible experience at Casa Cook Samos during our recent stay. The hotel exudes a serene and stylish ambiance that immediately put us at ease. What truly made our anniversary unforgettable was the exceptional service provided by Maria, the Guest Relations Manager.
Maria went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our stay was perfect. Her attention to our needs and her warm and welcoming demeanor truly made us feel like honored guests. From the thoughtful surprises in our room to the personalized recommendations for exploring the island, Maria’s dedication to customer satisfaction is truly commendable.
Casa Cook Samos is a true gem, and we cannot wait to return for another unforgettable experience. Thank you, Maria, and the entire team at Casa Cook Samos, for an unforgettable stay!
My stay was towards the end of August in 2023, for one week with a Ocean view room.
The hotel is fairly new and premises / facilities are pretty nice, including the spa / fitness.
Beach is clean and sun beds are comfortable, service at the beach is also fast and good.
Prices are modest and the staff tries their best to provide a good service despite the lack of experience.
Breakfast is also good, however there was little variation during the week, meaning it was almost the same every day.
When it gets busy during breakfast, there is a pretty long que in front of the coffee machine ( yes you have to get your own coffee, despite the hotel claiming to be five star and you would expect table service) and they also ran out of coffee mugs and glasses for juice.
All of the above is acceptable but what was really annoying was the continuous loud electronic music from 11am onwards until the evening at the beach, almost every day, making it impossible to relax.
Their website states mellow DJ sets but it was unfortunately the quite opposite.
I was unable use my balcony ( my room was right at the beach) because the loud music was so annoying that I had to get back inside my room and close the balcony door. On some occasions the bass was so hard that the furniture inside my room was vibrating.
My experience was rounded off, when my sun glasses all of a sudden disappeared when I returned to from the toilet. The staff cleaned my sun bed, despite my book, shirt water lying there.
When I asked the staff for clarification, the supervisor engaged in the conversation and made an unprofessional comment, that the hotel does not take any responsibility for lost or stolen good ( without actually knowing what happened).
Considering the hotel claims to be a five star, I would have expected the person in charge to ask for the details before making any comments and then trying to find a solution.
This can certainly happen and I am not really fussed about my sun glasses but they was this was handled was unacceptable!
I provided the staff at the reception with my feedback (about the loud music) but somehow the GM did not find necessary to get back to me!
In summary, I wasted a week of holidays and money, returning home unrelaxed.
If you are looking for quite beach holidays this is definitely not the place to go!
Considering the above I can only give this a 2 star rating.
We have chosen Casa Cook for our honeymoon and stayed here for 4 nights during end of September. The rooms and the design of the hotel is spectacular, and being “adults only”, the hotel perfectly made us really comfortable both in the pool and in the beach. The airport & plane noise did not bother us much, as the rest of the hotel was pretty quiet, and the number of times a plane landed/took off was not that much. Our room was a swim up suite, and I have to say the pool was the cleanest I have ever seen. Everything about the room itself and the shared pool was great.
The location of the hotel is a bit remote, due to fact that it’s basically connected to the port by an asphalt car road, with limited walking lanes, even though it’s only a 25-30 min walk. But a taxi ride to hotel from center was 8 euros each time, so I’d say that’s okay too.
However, as someone else also wrote as a comment before, I would like to say that we would have expected a bit more in terms of service. It would have been a nice gesture to send something to our room other than a hand written card (which was nice thinking from staff to do, but still…) You would expect a 5* romantic “getaway” hotel for adults, would have considered a nice gesture like this, but that wasn’t the case.
Also I understand that “sustainability” is an excuse for most companies to just cut the costs, but a complimentary dental & shaving kit could have been nice, considering the fact that our reservation was for four nights, and this is an island where it could be challenging to easily find such amenities outside.
The complimentary breakfast was great. Everything from the coffee to juices to the dishes were pleasant.
We also dined in the hotel’s restaurant “Beach House” on our first night, and I have to say, the food was good, but the prices are really high, and the portions are relatively small, even for a “fine dining” experience. Our waiter acknowledged our honeymoon during our chat, but that was it again, nothing else. I understand these extra stuff are too profitable for the hotel to give up easily, but with things stand, it really makes you feel like there’s a constant hidden agenda to make you eat & drink from the room service/beach bar. This could have been a bit more subtle imo. Of course this is nothing against the staff, they were really friendly & helpful to us each time we communicated.
Overall it was a relaxing experience for both of us, and we were really satisfied with the hotel itself. The hotel really deserves it’s high rating, but the overall guest management does have some room for improvement, compared to other 5* hotels that we stayed.
We stayed here for 6 nights on our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. Amazing rooms and great friendly staff. Definitely recommend the swim up pool bar if you want to relax as the beach music can get a bit loud. Fantastic location near town and only half an hour from some amazing beaches. Only sour note was dealing with the booking manager. We requested to use a bank transfer to pay for the hotel to avoid credit card charges but forgot to transfer the money in time. Instead of a call or email reminder the booking manager used the credit card. She was actually quite rude about it all and did not accept any blame or responsibility (we admitted we did forget to transfer in time however the email chain did state we wanted to pay by transfer). She initially called us saying she will look to try and compensate us with something but never got back to us in the end. Dealing with her was like banging your head against a wall so we let it go. I assume she’s just not very experienced in 5 star hotels and probably won’t be there for long if she has to deal with more customers.
Apart from that issue, we had a fantastic honeymoon!
I recently had an incredible 12 days stay at Casa Cook Samos, a luxurious 5-star beachside hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was enchanted by the stunning surroundings and the warm hospitality extended by the attentive staff. I was consistently greeted with warm welcomes and polite smiles. The check-in process was fast, informative, and conducted in a polite and welcoming manner.
My room, located next to a pool, was pure luxury. The elegant decor, comfortable furnishings, and modern amenities created a relaxing atmosphere.
The convenience of having a pool at my doorstep was an incredible experience. I could easily transition from a peaceful morning coffee on the balcony to a refreshing morning swim in the inviting waters of the pool. The pool area itself was immaculate, surrounded by lush tropical foliage, and loungers.
The restaurant staff were very welcoming, efficient, attentive, and quick to assist with menu choices and wine selection. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options to suit every taste, and the staff were readily available to guide guests in their choices. There was also a skilled cook who would prepare made-to-order omelettes and more.
Housekeeping maintained spotless rooms, and the entire property was impeccably clean. The attention to hygiene was clearly a top priority.
The beach staff were polite, attentive, and always ready to assist. Without exception, all the staff members were exceptional in their service.
Overall, my experience at Casa Cook Samos was outstanding, thanks to the exceptional staff, impeccable cleanliness, and the tranquil ambience of the property.
