We stayed 1 month and were very happy. The owners and staff speak excellent English and are friendly and helpful. The rooms – they are more like apartments – are comfortable and nicely decorated, and very well equipped for longer stays. There is a pretty green courtyard for relaxing in the shade. The location between 2 pedestrian alleys is charming and peaceful, central for everything on the peninsula, a couple of minutes walk to several beaches, the harbourfront area and the Old Town. Despite being central, it is the quietest part of the town, because the busy roads and louder bars are a few streets away.
We loved our stay in Casa Antica. The hosts, Athena and Pannetas were simply amazing! Very pleasant people, nice rooms, and positive energy around the property. The room was clean with perfect decoration. I just want to go back! Thank you guys!
What a jewel! And a well hidden one! Quiet and clean, comfortable and central, made and kept with love. In a couple of days, when coming from the nearby beach, you’ll feel like coming home, not like being in a hotel. Rooms are clean and quiet. Very convenient for being close to the town centre, but still in a tranquil place. The staff are wonderful, we’ll always remember their kindness (as we will always remember Marushka, the cat).
Unfortunately this year Casa Antica did not meet it’s own standards.
There were a number of issues with the room such as housekeeping,electrical,plumbing and safety (for which I have kept photos) for which we received no response from the (difficult to meet) hotel management.
The room (Corto Maltese) has little to do with the photos on the hotel’s website and the service is far from average.
The room is way overated and very expensive for the little it offers…
I’ve stayed here three times now and couldn’t recommend it more. The beds are sooooo comfortable and the decor is stunning. It’s really high quality without the pretension of some places that have half the charm. Bloody love this place!
