  1. The only good thing from here it’s the service but this is not enough for one hotel. The rooms are really old and so small. The price for the quality don’t work here . They need to change everything in this hotel.
I was here 9 nights and my back I didn’t feel it anymore because the beds are the most cheap and bad that’s you can see in your life. You have many options in Cos ,don’t come to this one.

  2. The room we stayed in looks like it’s from the 70’s with very old furniture (primarily the mattress which has probably never been replaced). A rusty shower faucet awaited us in the bathroom, while we had ants present in the room throughout our vacation. The front door is thinner than a regular room door, so you can literally hear everything from the hotel’s lobby. Also, it is stated that all rooms have a hair dryer, but there was none in ours. The breakfast is very poor, even for a hotel that claims to have two stars. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location, as well as the friendliness of the employees, but all that cannot compensate negative impression related to the room.

  3. As a lone female traveller with recent back & knee injuries I almost didn’t go to Kos this year, I really wasn’t sure to cancel.
BUT there is a really warm, family feeling about this place. The rooms could do with a bit of modernisation ( but, I guess then I wouldn’t afford to stay:)) They are cleaned throughout by room service and the reception and breakfast staff I would much prefer to having the place done up!! The staff go out of their way to help in any way they can and when I ever felt slightly threatened or vulnerable elsewhere getting back to The Captains Hotel felt like I was coming home. I rate the staff here so very highly. It felt like a safe haven staffed by angels. Other guests I met there have been coming back for years & now I understand why.

  4. If you can afford it avoid this place. The rooms are clean and the pool is nice. Everything else is falling apart. Bed mattresses were super old and fully collapsed in places. The fridge in the room was working just enough to make stuff slightly chilled, the freezer in it does nothing. Breakfast is also to avoid as it at most could only pass as a snack. WiFi in the room is unusable, and you are better off buying a data plan SIM card. The location of the hotel is good, and it’s just some 50m from one of the main streets in Kos. The whole of Kos is in walkable distance.

  5. Most importantly, the staff was very kind and friendly. The location was convenient and everything was clean. Unfortunately we were too busy and didn’t get a chance to use pool, A nice stay overall.
