We had the best stay at Blue Mare. The apartments are very very comfortable and have everything you’d want. The private terrace was beautiful and the breakfast delicious.
Iliana and her husband are the nicest people and clearly work very hard to make your stay phenomenal.
Others have mentioned, you’ll need a car to get into Naoussa, but it’s literally a 5min drive and you’ll want a car anyway to explore the island.
We’re already planning to come back!

Our suite was perfect, very clean, bright and peaceful. The pool and views are spectacular. Our incredible hosts Iliana and Stamatis greeted us each morning with a delicious home made breakfast and then spent time with us to plan our day with advice on the best beaches, hikes and restaurants. They arranged a rental car for us and transfers to the airport and did everything possible for us to have a fabulous vacation.
Fantastic host and stay for us – it was pleasant and it’s very close to Naoussa.
The only point I’d raise is the quality of the breakfast – most of the supplies came from the supermarket!
Staying at the Blue Mare Villas really gives you a great taste of Greek hospitality! This is a family-run property, and Iliana and Stamatis are fantastic hosts who make you feel like family. Leading up to our stay, we were impressed with how extremely responsive Iliana was to emails (a response typically within an hour or two). They really go above and beyond for you (arranging a rental car that will be waiting for you at the ferry port or the airport, providing you with a map of the island with recommendations on the best beaches and restaurants, and even making reservations to those restaurants). Not only that, the property is beautiful, private, and both romantic and family-friendly (my husband and I were there alone and had a wonderfully romantic visit but can’t wait to come back with our young children given how family-friendly the property is). The washing machine on property also allows you to refresh your wardrobe on a long Greece vacation! Iliana and Stamatis even made sure we had a full breakfast prepared early for us given that we had an early flight one morning. Stay here if you want a great stay on a beautiful property and every need taken care of!
