A Warning for the Uninformed

While many experiences at Blue Beach are delightful, it’s wise to heed the warnings from some guests. Colin Baker’s review sheds light on the surrounding areas and potential frustrations regarding facilities. However, it also emphasizes that the breathtaking views and serene beach make up for some of the drawbacks.

Embrace the Beauty, But Be Prepared

Visitors have also mentioned that while the location is stunning, some facilities at Blue Beach could use improvement. Uriah Bowman and Sharon Auguste express their concerns about cleanliness and amenities, highlighting that travelers should enter their visit with realistic expectations despite the breathtaking surroundings.

A Mixed Bag Experience

For some, such as Uriah and Sharon, the issues with rooms or service may detract from the overall experience. However, understanding these individual perspectives can help potential guests tailor their expectations and make an informed decision based on their preferences.

The Powers of Relaxation

  1. This was our first stay at the Blue Beach as the Zorbas Beach Village hotel was fully booked, and we are happy that it was! We had a great stay at BB. Staff is very friendly, food in the tavern very tasty. We will be back next year for sure but for longer! On this note I wanted to warn you not to go to Zorbas Beach Village as the new pool staff is rude and told us that our 7 year old daughter must not use their pool whilst we were there.

Blue Beach see you next year! We cannot wait!

  2. A sad review this because the views from Blue Beach are some of the best. A five minute walk along the shore and you come to an area of sandy beach with caution signs calling to be aware of baby turtles breaking from buried eggs and trying to scurry to the sea.
But the surrounding area is tatty and shoddy and roads in dire need of repair. Which is a cue to acknowledge the same for Blue Beach apartments.
They’re asking top money for bottom end facilities and rooms. Our bathroom was showing signs of mould around the bath. The shower functioned but not correctly. When I booked I asked if the restaurant was open. I was told yes. When we went down to the restaurant we were given the menu. This was to be our last holiday dinner before flying out the next morning.
The very nice young waitress asked us if we were ready to order. Yes we were. And we’re then told most of it wasn’t available and we’re then given a short list of available food. They’d run out if beer, only a bother or two. There was no house wine. They’d run out. We ordered a Mousaka and a chicken dish. My mousaka came. Half an hour later the chicken arrived.
Then we asked for coffee before we retired – it was nine o’clock on our final evening.
There is no coffee the girl said. I’ve turned off the machine.
At a neighbouring table there was a feral cat on the table eating the remains of a diners meal.
We return for breakfast. Quite hungry. It was 24€ for two. The coffee machine was switched off. There was a flask of coffee that had been made earlier. Eggs were available but seemingly not made that hour. So I had two pieces of toast and a cold coffee.
The feeling for us was that this was end of season and they just couldn’t care. It was the one bad experience of the holiday. Crete doesn’t deserve this. And neither do we who pay! Avoid

  3. I really wanted to give this place a 1 star review, but the food was good, and the reception guy was nice, and so is the location. Other than that, though, this hotel is trash!!! The wifi didn’t work, my room was filled mosquitoes because someone left the window open so there was a litteral nest in the toilet, there was hair and dirt on one of the beds, the bed is rock hard so I woke up in pain and the first room they tried to give me that I refused smelled like durian fruit which for those who don’t know it smells awful. I can honestly say that for half the price of what this place costs you can find another hotel with better quality. I’ve been in greece for 2 weeks now traveling and this was one of the most expensive hotel rooms I got and it was also the worst room I have had.

  4. Our room at Blue beach villas was not quite up to standards.

We had trouble with cockroaches, during at least half the visit we had no hot water. The mattresses in our room were very hard with no give. I needed a mattress topper. Deep end of Swimming pool at least two of the first rungs were broken, but the screws were sticking out at the sides.

It’s a shame as the place looked aesthetically pleasing. Breakfast and meals available.
