Perfect! Feels like paradise.
Everything is just perfect! The apartment and the location are stunning. It’s an utterly charming and peaceful area, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The interior is beautifully decorated, and the amenities provided made our stay extremely comfortable. The local area is very quiet and offers a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
It’s also a great area for hiking, with numerous trails that cater to all levels of hikers. We especially enjoyed the nearby trails that offered breathtaking panoramic views. There are also some lovely local restaurants that serve delicious food.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature!
Absolutely gorgeous apartment in a tranquil quiet village setting. Much more beautiful than in the photos, it is a spacious modern apartment. The owner is caring and attentive. Highly recommend this gem.
One of the best places i have ever been, far away from crowds and loud noises, but also close to everything you need, you can’t get enough of the view, every morning i would drink coffee on balcony and enjoy piece. Highly recommend.
What a sanctuary for the spirit and soul away from the hustle of civilization and tourism (while all of that remains within fast easy reach if you want). From the house small roads and dirt trails lead your daily walks through old olive gardens down to the untouched natural beauty of the little river below the house, which you can hear from the terrace (25 min walk). If you continue walking back up on the other side, you can climb any of the nearby hill tops (1-2 hours by foot from the house or 15 min by car through Spilli). You will be rewarded by magnificent views of big skies, untouched nature and glimpses of the nearby sea. While you walk through endless arrays of the most beautiful and amazing wild arid local plants allow your spirit be inspired by the local goats who feel so much at home and at ease here.
From each of the house terraces every day you will observe a returning flock of up to 35 eagles that majestically glide through the skies above the house and around the nearby mountainsides. From the same terraces each night we could observe countless shooting stars in a sky so dark, that we are not used to see.
And best of all we went to swim in the cold waters of the gorge by the big waterfall every day (just 5 minutes by car turning left in in the village). If continue walking down the temporarily “closed off” path (ask Stelios the neighbor) from the parking lot all the way to the river, you will find yourself all alone (for sure in the mornings or evenings) to enjoy the most revitalizing and breathtaking (yes REALLY cold) adventure of this natural attraction: swimming into the “mystic” cave surrounded by waterfalls.
From the little store (4 minutes by car turning right in Frati towards direction of Spilli) we enjoyed the local cheeses and yoghurt, their own array of excellent freshly baked traditional pastry and of course their magnificent own honey (beside other dayly stuff you might need).
We would love to be back to this hidden paradise and we carefully keep it close to our hearts so it stays available to our minds until then.
Great location on the outskirts with breathtaking views of the Cretan landscape. The house was very clean and tidy. Unfortunately there are many barking chain dogs in the immediate vicinity.
