  1. The staff make this hotel great. And I mean ALL staff, from the kindest and most sincere manager, Mr Harris, to the team of managers , bar staff, waiters, catering staff and cleaners, not forgetting the entertainment team all who ensure you have a wonderful experience and are looked after in this hotel. I would name them but it would be a staff list!
Food is excellent as is the entertainment. Nothing is too much trouble.
We loved our time here and WILL return.

  2. Check in was very quick and friendly. My wife and I were shown to our room and helped with our luggage which made a nice change. The room looked like it was freshly decorated and was well equipped, spacious, and very clean, with a stunning sea view from the large balcony. Looking at the layout of the hotel, it looks like every room has a balcony with a decent view of either the sea, or over the pool and gardens, then the green hills of the island beyond.

After settling in we went down to the pool and had a few cocktails served by Christina, one of the friendliest, and certainly quickest bartenders I have ever encountered. We were staying all inclusive and the cocktail list was large and varied, probably about 14 to chose from? The beer, wines, spirits, soft drinks, coffees and ice creams were also decent quality.

Next to the pool bar was a small food bar serving chips, gyros, Greek salads, fruit salads and other snacks from when breakfast finished until dinner begins. So you can get food outside of the set dining times which was useful.

Food. Excellent choice of hot and cold food, including plenty of vegetarian and healthy choices, and some nights were themed, including Greek, Italian and Tex-Mex. But on all those nights a wider choice was always there, including the kind of favourites kids liked. EVERY single member of staff was friendly and great at their job.

The pool was great, clean & safe, plenty of sunbeds, parasols, chairs and tables. Two separate pools for the kids, one which had a large sun cover. Big play area with decent quality climbing frames, slides, swings, goal nets, etc. The gym was well equipped and virtually empty when I used it. There is a well-stocked shop in the hotel foyer selling gifts, snacks, drinks and the sort of stuff some folks forget to pack.

There is a rep from Rodos car hire, the main rental company on Rhodes. We hired a car for a couple of days and got a very good deal. No fuss, no drama.

The beach is about 2 minutes’ walk from the hotel entrance. I think the hotel has sunbeds and parasols for guests there, but I never confirmed this as we were at the pool most days. There are also a lot of shops, restaurants and bars within a short walk, along the promenade.

If you don’t want to hire a car, just grab a bus from close to the hotel entrance. If you do your research you can get to all the main places on Rhodes.

The entertainment team were an incredible group of talented young people. Their dancing and acrobatic skills would not look out of place in the West End. The daytime activities were also great; we loved doing aqua aerobics in the pool, despite my dad dance moves. On some nights other quality entertainers came in to provide variety. The main show at 9pm came after the kids entertainment which the youngsters seemed to love. Probably the most impressive entertainment team we have seen, with a good mix of nationalities.

We also realised that a number of ‘details’ helped to make the experience great. Proper plastic drinks glasses around the pool, not the horrible disposable ones. The hotel has a number of great initiatives around ecology and sustainability. Cold water drinks dispensers placed around the hotel. Pool towels provided. No booming music around the pool, so you could chill out with a book, or listen to you own music on headphones in peace. Showers and changing rooms near the gym, useful for making the most of the check out day. And last but not least, the lovely dog which the hotel adopted 8 years ago when she was a stray. Such a lovely, friendly girl.

I think that one of the reasons the hotel and staff are so good is that the hotel manager could be seen around the place every day, chatting with staff and guests, and getting involved. He looked like he took great pride in looking after both the guest and his staff. Maybe that’s why they are all so happy and good at their jobs. I could not find fault in anything about the Atlantica Princess Hotel. We never really go back to the same place, but in this case we might. Thanks for a fantastic holiday!

  3. We’ve just returned from the Atlantica Princess Hotel, Rhodes, where we spent 10 nights, on a Tui All Inclusive holiday, flying out of Cardiff. A really nice Hotel, that is advertised as 4*. Our room was on the top floor, with a large balcony overlooking the pool and was really spacious, with an ensuite bathroom and WC. The room was spotless and cleaned meticulously every day. The only point, that others have made, is the hallways and corridors are quite dark and the carpets are tired looking. Another issue, albeit not that significant, is the fact that there are only two lifts serving the four floors, one of which is extremely small, holding four persons max, so delays can be inevitable.

The entrance foyer and lounge areas are very large and accomodating, with a small shop situated near the main lift. Again, as my comment on the hallways stated, whilst the furniture is very comfortable, the seating looks a little tired, but does not detract from the overall ambiance. Off this area, is the main restaurant, where breakfast and dinner is served. The room is very large and functional, but could benefit from some updating. The food served here was varied, plentiful, with many themed nights, the waiters and servers were so attentive and the table service was first class. Lunch was served outdoors in a separate area, again it was buffet style, with the same variety of different options as the main restaurant. Here too, the servers and waiters were brilliant and nothing was any trouble for them. The pool is situated in this outside area, it is a large pool with plentiful numbers of sun loungers. However, you will need to place your towels on your chosen loungers early, as there were issues, when we were there, of people placing their towels on loungers at 8.00am but then not using them until mid afternoon, a practice that the Hotel should stamp out.

In this outside area, there is a Bar plus a separate snack bar. The bar was very busy and the blonde haired lady called Christina, who worked there, was brilliant, very welcoming and knew her stuff and certainly worked so hard, a true credit to the Hotel Organisation. The snack bar, served kebabs, burgers, hotdogs, chips etc., and was also very busy throughout the day. Approximately 150 metres from the Hotel is a pebble beach with sunbeds and a small Bar/Food outlet. There is a charge to use the beds here, I think it was €8 a day, I’m not 100% sure as we didn’t like the pebble beach and used the Hotel pool every day.

The true bonus at this Hotel is the staff! Without exception, they were friendly, welcoming and truly a credit to the Hotel. Nothing was too much bother and whoever you met, you would be met with a broad smile and a very warm welcome, whatever time of day or night it was. I have to mention a few staff members who stood out as being so friendly: firstly there was Alex, he was the ‘Maître d’hôtel’ at the restaurant, the most efficient and welcoming person I have had the fortune to meet, he made us feel special and treated us like his best friends. Then there is Nikos, he is the main Barman in the Apollon Bar and the main waiter in the outside buffet restaurant. This man was so good at his job and like Alex, made you feel so special, with his warm and efficient welcome. In the bar, he remembered what was your favourite tipple and never let your glass remain empty for more than a minute…….brilliant!

Along, with Christina behind the outside bar, these three people are truly a credit to the Hotel and typified the overall attitude of the staff, generally, they made you feel like Family, not guests. I would recommend this Hotel, purely on the staff and the warm welcome we received. It may be rated at 4* but on my experience, it deserves a 5* rating based on the staff attitudes alone………..Yamas!

  4. This is a great place to stay with your family. You are made to feel welcome as soon as you arrive to the moment you leave. The staff are brilliant, the food is excellent and the place is spotless.

  5. A couple’s all inclusive experience in June 2024:

The hotel is in a nice location between Ixia and Ialisos – it is away from the main road and just up from a shingle beach, which was lovely to take a quieter-than-the-pool dip in to cool down on the 35 degrees days. Expect a lot of families – choose a different hotel for an adults only experience!

We had no problem taking public transport, walking into Rhodos town (long walk) and taking a coach tour to Lindos (via TUI) from the hotel’s location.

We had a nice air-conditioned room with a big (king-size) bed with a nice ocean view. It was quite quiet on the ocean side, as the pool/entertainment area is on the indland side. The shower in our room could be a bit better but was good enough.

All the older staff were so friendly and welcoming, especially the reception staff, Alexandros in the restaurant and the bar staff (and one of the waitresses who made sure we always had what we wanted).

The buffet food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) is well stocked, tasty and varied. The Aegean Breeze open air restaurant (bookable for all-inclusives once per visit) was a nice experience and the waiter was very sweet.

The pool and entertainment were fine, it was easy enough to get a sunbed but you probably want to get down there by 9 or you’ll have to wait until midafternoon.

You need to be a little wary about extra charges for stuff but it’s clearly stated when there are extra charges.

There is a normal Greek supermarket (called ΑΒ Βασιλόπουλος) a 5 min walk away towards Ixia where things cost about 2/3 of the price of the local supermarkets for tourists. There is also a Spar further along.

All in all, we had a great stay and were happy and satisfied with all the hotel offered. We’d consider it again if we visit Rhodes again.
