Great restaurant in a side street of the main road Papathiamanti. Here you get high-quality upscale food that is still reasonably priced compared to many places in Skiathos. It has a cozy courtyard and the owner has payed a lot of attention to the details of the intetior design.
The food is excellent and there are some unusual creations but everything is delicious and also beautifully decorated.
The owner and the staff are extremely friendly and easy to talk to.
It is a hidden gem worth a visit.
Artima
Tonight we went back to Artima a place where we enjoyed a meal a couple of years ago.
But oh how things have changed. This was very disappointing to say the least and the customer service was shocking.
It all started friendly enough then the starters arrived. The mushroom croquettes came with an apple jam and beetroot which was way too sweet and killed the flavour of the mushroom. The aubergine look like a plate of aubergine cream. Then the mains arrived and the pork belly was sweet and my octopus was so sweet I couldn’t eat it all.
When we tried to give the manager some polite constructive feedback he just seemed to think we wanted some money off but this was not the case. We just wanted to tell him what we thought but he really wasn’t interested. He just kept saying let me get you a limoncello on the house. The owner didn’t come anywhere near us at all. So they really don’t care and can’t take any criticism or advice you may want to give.
Therefore I will definitely NOT recommend a visit here.
Apparently since our last visit the restaurant has a new chef and owner. Clearly Notbfor the better.
Really nice restaurant. Food was fantastic, lovely setting, and great service! Would recommend!! Breaded shrimps, octopus carpaccio, lamb, pork belly and lime pie all fab.
Had a gorgeous meal here and would totally recommend!
The place wasn’t bursting at the seams, but don’t let that put you off! Great service and the food is off the scale – absolutely beautifully presented and tastes incredible – probably the best food we’ve eaten in Skiathos!
We had a great waiter and the courses looked great but still the taste was often missing … It worth the try but some may be disappointed ! 😄
