The laundry service ruined $170 worth of my clothes with iron burn marks. They did compensate me for the laundry service, but the front desk staff said that any other compensation would need to “come out of the salary of the person who does the laundry” and “she needs it more than [you] do”. This is likely true, so I let it go, but I didn’t appreciate the guilt trip when asking them to fix the mistake they made.
The rest of my stay was great but I won’t be coming back after the experience with management.
Nice and clean hotel – possibly one of the best in Kokkari. A great advantage od this hotel is the nice and warm swimming pool. I am giving this hotel 4/5 because of the impaired accessibility for wheel chairs and baby strollers. We had a hard time going upstairs with the baby stroller every single time. Apart from that in my opinion the breakfast and the dinner should be until 10:30 and 22:00 respectively. The customer service is really good 👍I surely will recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Samos
Nice, calm hotel with great view and great localization. Very nice stuff, good food, nice place to stay. 3 nice beaches around, close to Kokkari. Rooms and bathrooms are not so modern but quite good and clean.
I stayed at the hotel with my family for 12 days. We usually love Greek islands and have visited many in the last 20 years.
The Arion hotel is not fully meet European 4-star standards (My oppinion is 3-star), as our room (at least) had a 90s style.
However, what I really have to highlight is the incredibly high level of cleanliness and attention to detail in every corner of this complex! The perfect cleanliness of the room, as well as every public area, is astonishing and surprising for this categorization in Greece. Even our 90s-style room didn’t have anything that didn’t work. Everything was functioning perfectly, and great effort was put into the details, so parts of tiles, furniture, switches… etc. that had to be replaced over the years were in line with the interior and carefully matched.
Daily thorough cleaning and frequent replacement of bedding and towels certainly contribute to the pleasant experience.
Indeed, all praise for this medium-sized family hotel located in a good location with a wonderful panoramic view of the nearby town of Kokkari!
I would like to note that it seems to me that a certain part of the hotel rooms has been completely renovated (i’m not sure for that), so it might be wise to inquire directly about this beforehand (we booked through an agency from Serbia which probably booked cheaper options).
I also want to emphasize that I am a person for whom luxury accommodation is not of great importance. However, I have experience with the SLH segment, as well as 5-star hotels on the Adriatic Sea, and luxury hotels in European ski resorts, so I believe I can assess objectively.
A small note… although there is a hotel minibus that takes you to the nearest beaches, in my opinion, when staying at this hotel, you must have a rental car.
In the end, all praise for the Arion hotel, as well as all praise for the island of Samos, an incredible and lesser-known gem of the Aegean Sea!
The location is good, but you have to use a path with stairs to go to the town. The food was very good and the prices for drinks and food at the swimming pool were reasonable. The rooms are dated and could really use a modern make over, but they were clean. No wash line on the balcony to hang your towel or swim suit, so you have to use chairs. The free taxi bus to the beach was a nice plus.
