Wow! What a gorgeous place! Never seen anything like it! My husband and I were so not expecting this boutique place when we walked in.
The welcome was so warm and friendly from the owner and family.
The hotel was superb and divinely decorated, it was like walking into someone’s house that they had put all their heart into decorating. Marble staircase, beautiful wooden doors, mosaic bathroom…
The room we had on the top floor had a terrace with a breathtaking view of the sea all the way to Tinos and Mykonos with a lounging chair that just invited to lay out and read, or watch the sun come up or down.
The breakfast was customized with homemade breads and jams, and delicious little speciality sweets that changed every day.
This is a jewel of a place. Second to none. We have traveled a lot but nothing tops this stay. A warm thank you to the owner and congrats on making us feel so special…

Gorgeous homemade breakfasts & every recommendation for restaurants & places to visit were spot on. The cleaniness & little ‘offerings’ were so lovely. Shout out to Maria in housekeeping also! Arion is a wonderful, small, family run hotel in Syros. We stayed there for a week in August, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The uninterrupted views of the sea from the rooms are breathtaking, the rooms are immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, they make you feel like an 19th century aristocrat returning to his or her holiday home on the islands. The owner, Depi, and her family, make you feel welcome and at home from the moment you arrive. They serve excellent breakfast, with lots of home made products – our favourite was the rose jam made by Depi herself. The location is great too, away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Ermopoulis, but still within a walking distance of all the facilities, buses, the port etc. Syros is a wonderful island and Arion must be one of the best of places to stay there, we wholeheartedly recommend it.
