Discovering Apostolos Studios: A Mixed Bag of Experiences
Welcome to Apostolos Studios, a picturesque accommodation in the stunning town of Lindos, Greece! Nestled among the charming streets of this historic destination, Apostolos Studios offers visitors both convenience and breathtaking views of Lindos Beach. However, potential guests should be aware that experiences at this venue can vary widely based on personal expectations and encounters.
Exceptional Views Await You
The undeniable highlight of staying at Apostolos Studios is the spectacular view it offers. Guests have lauded the spacious terrace area where one can savor breakfast or wind down with a drink while overlooking the serene Lindos beach. As one visitor aptly noted, “If you don’t mind taking some stairs, you will see it’s worth it when you get up there.” This stunning locale is particularly close to the Acropolis, making it a perfect spot for those wishing to meld relaxation with cultural exploration.
The Availability of Basic Amenities
Apostolos Studios provide guests with essential amenities that cater to their needs. Reviews mention a functional kitchen with basic appliances, a communal area where guests can relax, and clean towels and linens provided regularly. There is even a co-operative program with local services, helping guests with everything from transportation rentals to boarding pass printing. However, the overall quality of these amenities has been met with mixed reactions.
Concerns Over Comfort and Safety
While the location and view are commended, there are significant concerns regarding the comfort and safety of the accommodations. Multiple visitors expressed disappointment with outdated facilities, including uncomfortable beds and faulty air conditioning. One guest lamented the lack of basic supplies, such as soap and adequate kitchen utensils, while others reported issues with maintained security. It is essential to weigh these factors when planning your visit.
Service: A Double-Edged Sword
The hospitality experience at Apostolos Studios can greatly vary, with some guests praising the welcoming attitude of hosts like Leanne, who goes out of her way to assist visitors. In contrast, others reported unhelpful and unresponsive service, particularly during distressing situations, such as theft or issues with the accommodation. This inconsistency in service makes it crucial for potential tourists to approach with caution.
The Staircase Challenge
While many might appreciate the workout from walking up and down the stairs to the studios, for others, this can be an exhausting inconvenience. With temperatures reaching scorching highs, guests have indicated that the trek can be tedious, especially after a long day at the beach. Decorated with these winding pathways, the beauty of Lindos is undoubtedly a joy to behold, but visitors need to be physically prepared to tackle the surrounding terrain.
An Uncertain Recommendation
In summary, Apostolos Studios presents a unique opportunity for visitors to experience the beauty of Lindos but comes with a variety of reviews that reflect a rather polarized guest experience. If you value breathtaking views and a great location while remaining flexible regarding comfort and customer service, Apostolos Studios may still be the right choice for you. However, based on mixed feedback, potential tourists are encouraged to weigh all aspects before committing to a stay at this establishment, ensuring their vacation remains enjoyable and hassle-free. Happy travels!

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at Apostolos Studious. Our stay was marred by a series of unfortunate events that left us frustrated and feeling unsafe.
Firstly, we had requested two pairs of keys so that we could keep the air conditioning on while we were at the beach. However, our request was flatly refused, leaving us with no choice but to keep the windows open in the small apartment to combat the unbearable heat. This not only compromised our comfort but also our security, as we had to leave the windows open during the day.
Things took a much darker turn on our last day. Despite locking up our apartment, someone managed to break in and steal our money. The only other person with access to the keys was the owner of Apostolos Studious. The fact that there were no security cameras on the premises only added to our frustration. When we approached the host with this distressing situation, they displayed a complete lack of cooperation and seemed uninterested in assisting us.
In response to this distressing incident, we had to involve the local authorities and file a police report. It’s disheartening to have to spend precious vacation time dealing with theft and filing reports, rather than enjoying the final moments of our trip.
The absence of proper security measures, the owner’s unhelpful attitude, and the overall ordeal we had to go through have left a bitter taste in our mouths. Our vacation ended on a truly terrible note, and I would strongly advise against anyone considering staying at Apostolos Studious until they address these serious concerns. Our experience was nothing short of a nightmare, and I hope that no one else has to go through the same ordeal.
If you don’t mind taking some stairs, you will see it s worth it when you get up there, this place has the best view in Lindos. There is a spacey terrace area overlooking Lindos beach to enjoy your breakfast or a drink after dinner.
Apostolos is a great host, always fun to have a chat with. Also thanks to Leanne who greeted us in the main square and walked us to the studios and has been very helpful with checking rental cars etc.
We really hated this place. To be more transparent, I will make a pro and con list.
Pro:
– lovely terrace with view over the sea
– possibility to hang and dry clothes outside the room
– cooperation with Experience Lindos – they meet you upon arrival, show you the way and even helped us print our boarding passes
– almost up the Akropolis so it is very close
-clean towels and bed sheets
Con:
– the bed seems to be a piece of wood with a thin mattress over it (I felt like camping)
– on booking it advertised free public parking closeby which was important for us: the accommodation is as far away from the beginning of carfree Lindos as possible and even before the entrance an amount of walking. It is a long and tedious way up and down the alleys and stairs to get to Apostolos. This would have been terrible even if it werent 40 degrees celsius. The closest supermarket is also up and down many stairs.
– our room was generally terrible: old and worn, stained, randomly assambled furniture – no shower curtain (a huge mess every time), hardly any space to move or to get to your side of the bed, no bedstands
– dont count on using your kitchen if you really want to cook a normal dish, it is tiny
– no soap provided (during covid!), only one roll of toilet paper upon arrival, no dish soap, no tea towel
– moody airconditioning
All in all, very basic stuff is wrong with this place which is why I can only give one star. If they had been transparent in their booking description, of course the location would have been ok. But knowing this, we would never have booked it.
And one star is already a generous rate!
We didnt manage to sleep the whole night from the terrible sound that the below average AC was doing. We had terrible headaches the next day and we had to book a flight earlier to avoid this awful room.
The fridge was also not working properly along with the hot water in the shower. The owner after an “investigation” didnt agree to refund us with the claim that everything was working fine. Even though we had sent him a video..
Apart from this nightmare, they only provided one toilet paper for three nights, no shower gel, no shampoo. And they have the worst communication that I have ever encountered. You cant directly call them, but instead you need to call, hang up and then they will call you back. They didnt provide any details in advance for the meeting point since you have to walk to reach the apartment. And we had to “call”(= call + wait + call you back) several times in order to understand where we had to meet.
Please do yourselves a favor and avoid this mess!
We really enjoyed our 1-week stay here (Oct 20). The location is excellent, the view is brilliant. The apartment (#3) had all we needed including a fridge, hob (2 rings) & a toasting type griddle (think what they put panini’s into heat up).
The 6 apartments have a communal area when you walk out the door (table & chairs) & then another terrace area down a few stairs (where there are 3 big tables that would seat 4 on each & where the view is beautiful (over the main beach & bay).
We had food delivered before we arrived (ABC Supermarket). Priceless (& free).
We saw the owner most days as he was doing the cleaning etc (I assume as it was the end of the season) – he was very friendly & helpful.
The apartment was spotless & clearly, the time had been taken to make sure it was cleaned properly.
It took 10 minutes to walk from the apartment to our loungers on the beach (at the other end)….really no time at all.
The walk to the apartment from the centre was ‘easy’ – was not an issue at all despite reading to the contrary.
Would happily return again & may well do next year tbh.
