Great place, had a good vacation there. The food was delicious, a large variety each day.
The location was good, beautiful beaches nearby. Shop almost in the same building. The hotel is a bit further from the city center, so it’s quite calm. The only down side would be if you want to visit other places by bus, as the bus stop is around 3 km away, but if you drive there are a few car rentals close by.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
Housekeeping comes on a daily basis, rooms are clean.
5/5 would come again.
I absolutely do not recommend this hotel, and I want to share my negative experience so that other travelers can avoid the same issues. We booked our stay in Crete from September 4 to September 10, 2024, through Perfect Stay, including flight, accommodation, and half-board. We arrived late at night (around midnight) on September 4, and everything seemed fine until the day of departure.
On the morning of September 10, after having breakfast and enjoying the beach, we were interrupted by a receptionist during our meal. He informed us that checkout was at 11 AM, even though it was 2:30 PM. With our flight scheduled for 7:30 PM, we intended to stay at the hotel until our transfer at 4:50 PM took us to the airport. I had never been informed of this checkout time, and I never received the message that the hotel claimed to have sent.
The receptionist then insisted we pay for an extra night, claiming that another guest needed to occupy the room. However, when I asked where this guest was, he could not answer. This behavior shows a complete lack of professionalism and clearly indicates a lack of coordination between the hotel and Perfect Stay. Furthermore, it is absurd to charge for an extra night when we had booked a half-board stay, with services supposed to align with our flight schedule.
Regarding the hotel itself, the experience was equally disappointing. The smell of sewage was pervasive, whether in the room or in the breakfast area. The room’s air conditioner made unbearable noise, making nights very difficult. Additionally, the food offered was far from varied. The same dishes were served every day, which quickly became tedious.
Finally, I want to point out that the photos visible on Google do not reflect the reality of this hotel. In reality, it is old, poorly maintained, and in no way meets the expectations one might have for such an establishment.
I strongly advise against this hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-organized stay. It is clear that their management is neither respectful nor professional, and it greatly spoiled the end of our stay.
As a family with teenage children, we were pleased to find a large apartament, with amazing sea view. Also the garden is very nice, as for the beaches, 2 of them are 10 min max by foot, and if you want to go to Analipsi beach, a taxi is needed, but the trip back by foot is ok. Delicious food, including fish, beef, every evening. The service is really quality, Nice and kind people, this is also why we choose Crete for 3rd time as summer vacation. There is also a supermarket and Travel centre incl car rental under the same roof. We were pleased by the Dia Island yacht trip booked with them.
Very nice and quiet hotel. It is a family business and that feeling is present everywhere ..
Food is fresh and tasty. Rooms are very clean Very nice nearby beaches . Finally,
Good points : cleaning and overall atmosphere
Weak points: the food isn’t too varied (
specially for breakfast) and the location is quite remote from both public beaches ( there are only 2 or 3 quite narrow and crowded) and local transport ( the nearest bus station is at almost 30 minutes walking)
The main attractions ( bars, clubs , shops or even supermarkets) are at the same distance.
