Anemes is a great place to stay for your holidays. Matilda’s hospitality was great! Breakfast was excellent and anything we wanted was served. When we arrived was an issue with the air conditioning and she managed to find someone to fix it very quickly. I definitely recommend Anemes for holidays home!
We had a fabulous 5 nt stay at Anemes and would wholeheartedly recommend it. Breakfast was great and the hotel even ordered in gluten free products for me which was much appreciated. Service was always delivered with a smile, a big thank you to Matilda for looking after us and ensuring our stay was a comfortable and enjoyable one. We shall return!

Thoroughly enjoyed my week-long stay at Anemes Hotel this May.
The hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the beach, coves, restaurants and mini market in Avlemonas.
I wanted a ground floor room so that I could come and go quietly late at night after some star gazing from the dark skies (Bortle class 2, so excellent!) and my room was perfect. Even in the heat of the day it was cool enough to not need to use the aircon.
There was enough space in the room to store my clothes and astronomy kit, with more than enough plugs to keep everything charged up.
There’s a decent size fridge and a two ring burner if you want to cook for yourself, but I’d suggest eating in town at ΜΠΟΤΖΙΟ for great food.
The shower-room is compact, but with a full strength shower, and hot water available even late at night.
On the second day, strong winds had damaged a power line, that meant that the hotel had no electricity for a few hours; despite this, the owners and the wonderful Matilda was able to make a superb breakfast – as shown in my photo; breakfast was usually much more substantial, but was amazing to see the efforts that they went to without electricity. Thank you, Matilda!
If you are considering visiting Avlemonas, then it’s well worth checking the availability of Hotel Anemes. I’ll be sorry to leave.
Firstly it was easy to book the apartment (which I was recommended by one of my Greek friends) via email with a small deposit transferred.
Upon arrival Mema, Paschalis, their family and support team welcomed us warmly!
We got spacious apartment with a big living room and bedroom, it keeps well coolness during a day, with 2 aircons too.
Our apartment faces a backyard with a view to mountains, perfect spot for an evening chill.
We have a good breakfast, carefully cooked.
Absolutely recommended, also location is perfect with just a few minutes walk to the village.
