We recently returned from a week here and it was lovely. We arrived in the dark and wasn’t quite sure what things were going to be like as it looked like a small place next to a main road and miles away from anything else. Check in was great, the staff member was really good. Our room was slightly old fashioned looking but spotlessly clean. In the morning we spoke to a really helpful staff member on reception who told us where everything was. It turns out the location is great. It’s far enough out to be quiet but an easy 5 minute walk to the main restaurant/bar/shopping area and the beaches. The pools are clean, the bar is well stocked and well priced, the staff are wonderful, the rooms are kept clean every day, the atmosphere is perfect. The lady at the bar didn’t appreciate us asking for something that was a slight variation from the menu but that’s a minor thing. We would definitely return. Thank you to all the staff there.
Nice quiet hotel, staff friendly. We are half board, breakfast was your typical all you can buffet, tea and coffee also. Only issue is with dinner, they do not provide ANY drinks, including water. You have to order separate and pay, and the prices are steep compared to the rest of Crete. This caught us by surprise and I know it’s only a little thing but it gave us a negative impression of the hotel. It would not be difficult for them to provide free water/soft drinks with dinner, and it would leave a good impression with the guests. We would probably return to the hotel if they provided that but we will not be with the current situation. Another thing to note is because it’s a small hotel the selection of food everyday is limited, but the quality is decent.
The hotel is good for the price we took it. I know that there are dates when it is more expensive. So you can’t wait something extraordinary because it is 3*. And it is ok for 3*. It is clean , rooms are clean, food is nice. Not very much diversity, but you can find what to eat. There is a pool bar, where you can buy drinks and if you want to eat something during the day. The hotel is quiet, good for families . There are some shops via the street. Malia is 15-20 minutes on foot. Hersonissos is about 30-40 minutes on foot . If you don’t want to take a car there will be a little difficult to get to any town. But there are buses. We rented a car, so it was easy to travel .
We’ve just spent a week here as a family of 5. Three girls 14,9 and 6. We had two rooms. Rooms are basic but we paid a bargain for the holiday. Honestly can’t fault it for 3 stars. Not your average layout for rooms. It’s up steps and spaced out in lovely gardens. Cleaners are delightful coming daily even though it says every other day. Short walk under the underpass and your either on the path to Stalis or malia. We walked to both. Spoilt for choice with bars and restaurants. Tony’s quiz and bingo nights twice weekly were a vibe.. Honestly a delightful hotel. We would return.
Emergency accommodation arranged by Jet2 so grateful for anything but rooms dated and in need of refurb. Location next to busy road and quite a distance from the sea. Not 3 stars in my opinion. Passport’s retained in open view and no security to prevent theft.
