  1. The breakfast was great. The beach across the street is gorgeous. From what I hear, the beds in the double/single rooms are very comfortable but the beds in the triple rooms are horrible!!!! You can feel the metal springs in the beds when you barely touch the mattress. We alerted the manager but she seemed unconcerned and admitted the she had not tried the beds herself. BEWARE of this. Plus, the triple rooms are on the top of the hill that you have to climb to get to the rooms, and believe me when I say hill!! If you have bad knees, don’t stay here. They will charge you more if you want a lower room. Thumbs down for this.
The staff did offer assistance when we needed medical help.
Bus nearby was very unreliable but we were at the beginning of the season. Taxis felt pricey to me for the distance to Old Town area. You can walk to catch Sea Bus, but the walk is a bit unsafe on the road.

  2. Beautiful hotel. Very nice rooms. Balcony with a view of the sea. Bathrooms are reasonably sized. Our room had twin beds we had to push together. It is a serious hike to our room from check-in (180s). We arrived about 1 but weren’t allowed to check in until 3, so we waited a while! This hotel is a 30+ minute walk from Mykonos Town. There is a city bus to this location a few times a day , but not in the evenings. So one must pay for a taxi or walk from New Port after taking the sea bus after 5 pm.

  3. Nice, and clean, excellent staff are friendly and nice, food is good and very nice facility and the view fanatics, very quite. Easy to take public bus take your to downtown $2 ERO for a person’s one way, and when you back public bus drop you in front of the hotel you stayed. Bus driver very friendly, and very generous. Nice place to see

  4. Even though this hotel isn’t in the main part of the island, it was still very easy to get around by bus to the other parts. The bus stop is right across the street in front of the beach and came often enough. The pool and beach were great! We were here in October which was quieter but the weather was perfect to lounge by the pool or beach. The rooms were nice and we enjoyed having a private balcony to watch the sunset. The hotel breakfast was great!

  5. The Alkistis would be the perfect holiday spot if it was located near downtown Mykonos. Unfortunately it is isolated and offers no walking options. Great food, friendly staff and comfortable accommodations. Transportation options are available but walking is not.
