  1. We had an amazing evening at AGORA with delicious food and very kind and helpful staff! We would most definitely recommend to visit this restaurant if you want to try something different (and very tasteful!).

  2. Really good food!! If you want to experience good traditional greek food for reasonable prices, this place is a must try.

Situated right in the centre of old town of Kos, this place has everything, flavours, music and the vibe of what it’s like to be on a greek island. The owner and the host were super friendly and even the chef suggested us a few items.

Do try their Mezze platter for two and also the Portokalopita (Orange pie). The owner has a farm 7kms out of Kos town and grows olives and eggplants there so it is all very farm to table :))

We will be back whenever we are in Kos again!!!

  3. Tonight we had dinner at Agora restaurant, in the city centre of Kos Town. We got off to a bad start, because the draught beers were completely dead, and so poorly tapped that we had to pour some of it over into another one of our glasses because it was almost half full. Right after we did this, a cockroach jumped on the table which was absolutely disgusting.
After this came the starters. We ordered bread with mixed dips, which turned out to be 4 slices of pita bread and a cup almost as small as a bottle cap filled woth olive oil and a drizzle of balsamic. Not what you would expect of bread with ‘mixed’ dips. We also got the spicy feta and tzatziki which were mediocre, but not bad.
After this we received the main course. If I would describe the food we got in one word, it would be terrible. The burgers we got were dry, and it came with a staggering ammount of six (!) fries. I got the kleftiko, which was fine, but it was a small portion. The kleftiko came with fries, which were absolutely disgusting. They were cold, soft and drenched in oil. I have added photos of the fries below.
When we were about 20 minuted done with our food, we walked inside to inform the staff that we wanted to pay the check and leave. At this point, the waiters had came by a generous three times, once to take our order and twice to bring us the food and drinks. We went inside and payed the check, and after that we informed the waiters that we were not happy about the food. We told them that the fries were drenched in oil and were not fresh, to which the owner came back and showed us that the calamaris were fresh, which has nothing to do with the fries. They also said that we should have told them earlier that we were not happy about the food and beers, but they never came to our table and asked how our food was after we received our main course, so it’s safe to say that the service also wasn’t the best.
All in all we would definately not reccomend this restaurant, and were not satisfied with the course of events, and would never return. We are willing to explain this in more detail if needed.

  4. We had a great dinner here in Agora. Located in beautiful Old Town area, with plenty of outdoor seating. The vegan gyros plate was excellent, and my husband had kleftiko which was also very good. It was pretty quiet still at 7 PM, so we got fast service.
