Location second to none at Matala being only a few steps from the beach and overlooking the main village square but with a private balcony with some water and headland views. The accommodation was spotless and very comfortable and the hosts were extremely helpful and responded immediately to any requests. Can highly recommend and it will always be my first choice to stay at Matala.
We were guests for a total of 3 weeks and every day was wonderful. The hosts are extremely attentive, helpful and gracious. The apartment is located above the family’s own shop in the old town of Matala. The apartment has a window to the market square and a beautiful terrace in the 2nd row to the sea. The terrace is like another living area in good weather. There is no real sea view, but we didn’t see that as a disadvantage. In the evening you can see the mountain illuminated from the side. The apartment can be reached via its own entrance and a spiral staircase. The very short distances to the beach and the shops and restaurants in the center are unbeatable. We found it pleasantly quiet despite the central location. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very functional. There is additional storage space in the bed box under the bed. Free parking spaces in 5 minutes on foot in front of the town center. We will of course be happy to come back.
THE place to stay in Matala! Wonderful nice little Studio in the middle of Matala over the family shop with view to the square on the one side and the sea and the matala caves on the other side. We had a wonderful stay. It all starts with the super friendly owner and warm welcome. Then you see the hidden entrance behind the stuff of the shop. Allready here you feel comfortable and like a VIP 😅 You enter the door and climb up the cute spiral stairway and feel directly at home. The apartment is clean with a new modern but also traditional design. Equipped with everything you need it don’t left any wishes open.
You want to take part on the nightlife of matala and stay at your balcony? No problem you can directly cheers to the quests sitting on the square. You want an relaxing and calm evening also no problem, just close the windows and the quirky noisy matala is gone. And for the breakfast or the beach you just need to fall out of the bed 😋 We would recommend this Studio to everyone no matter what you are looking for. It’s the perfect place to stay in matala managed by the perfect hosts. Thank you guys for the nice days and see you soon 😊👋🏻
