If you’re looking for a luxurious & romantic hotel while visiting Crete in Greece, I’d totally recommend Acro Suites. Me and my family were visiting from the USA, and we stumbled across this resort while booking our trip. Each hotel room has its own private pool, breakfast buffet included, along with two nice gyms. The staff at Acro Suites were immaculate with their hospitality and top-notch service. Perfect for an anniversary or honeymoon. One of a kind experience

Small scale hotel – clean rooms and nice bed. Staff is very friendly. Public pools are nice but never seen anyone swim here because it is cold. But the views from the deck is stunning.
Private pool is not heated – can be at a charge. There is one restaurant and you can eat at the bar. Food is very tasty but it is expensive.
Booked via a package holiday so we did not pay the advertised rate of 1000 per night but I think we paid half of it (which better matches the value of the experience)

Architecturally beautiful hotel. Every detail of the rooms to the hotel main pool to the bar to the restaurant was uniq and perfectly fit the aesthetic of the hotel. The vibe was relaxing and easy going.
We stayed in the Cave suite which could not have been more perfect for us to spend our honeymoon in. I travel a lot for work and fun and the Cave room is by far the best room I have ever stayed in during in one of my trips! Truly it was said to say goodby to the most perfect room. It’s spacious and private, beautifully laid out and quiet and not to mention the incredible VIEW!
The Spa is a must! likely the best message I have ever had. Agin it was beautifully designed as well .
The staff was nice and accommodating but I wouldn’t say they went the extra mile that you’d expect from some 5 star resorts.
The only negative thing I have to say is the rental car provider Acro recommend. My wife and I wanted to rent a car for a fun day exploring the island and Acro recommend BC Cars. This was a terrible car rental experience and ruined our day of adventure. We informed the Acro manager of this situation and he handled the issues well. Listing out the rental car issues below for management to note and to encourage Acro to stop doing business with this company which does not align to the same standards of service.
– No fuel in the tank (the gas light was on!)
– The car was supposed to be a newer model Audi but what we got was a 12 year old high mileage and dirty Audi A3 that was clearly in need of some work
– the car did not have bluetooth or any modern entertainment screen
– the A/C barley pushed out any slight chilled air… I had to drive with my shirt off so i did not sweat as much on it
– out of inspection – a pop up indicating the car was out of registration and needed to be inspected ASAP
– the check engine light was on!
Overall the hotel is a 10/10! We cant wait to go back and stay in the Cave room! beautiful place full of great energy!
Room was stunning and food from the main restaurant was very good. It was for our honeymoon and they gave us a little treat to celebrate which was very thoughtful. It was extremely windy the days we were here (it’s at the top of a cliff) to the point where we could hardly go outside or use the pool. Pools were also very cold. Would expect a 5 star resort would heat them in cooler months (it’s may and with the wind, was not swimmable at all). We had just been in santorini with a heated infinity pool which was amazing. We couldn’t even get in ours with the temperature and the wind, which was a shame. We ended up just exploring the beach town about 30 minute walk away and heraklion. Not a ton to do besides spa or pool. Also it lists there is an 18 hole golf course on their website, this is false.
