This was a wonderful stopover while we waited for the ferry. Very accommodating and friendly staff, excellent view, comfortable private rooms with very unique artistic charm and character. Thank you!!
Staff is wonderful and the rooms are beautiful. Fridge is restocked everyday and is very affordable. If you need anything at all don’t hesitate to ask reception. Cab rides / food delivery / laundry service / beach towels etc.

There are absolutely HORRIFIC people working here.
My father died days before my booking, I asked if I could use what I had paid as a voucher for the next year.
They told me no, they were entirely inflexible and not interested in the pain I was going through.
They couldn’t care any less about their customers.
They even had the nerve to INSULT ME when I was absolutely understandably frustrated with their lack of compassion.
I’ve never been so disrespected in my entire life. I will go out of my way to talk about how awful this hotel staff is.
Disgusting, rude, incompassionate, aggressive, patronising people. Never give them your money or your time, they don’t deserve anything but failure for how they treat people in their most painful times.

– While I would welcome the attachment of the truthfulness of your lack of empathy and compassion, displaying my personal and private data with anyone else would be a breach of data protection laws and I would be happy to fully exercise my right to legal recourse in such a situation.

– Yes you did insult me. You told me that I was being rude, and had no empathy for the fact that my father had literally just died. Again this just perfectly displays your lack of empathy or compassion “a lot of people cancel with a lot of excuses” – hideous answer from a hideous person. My father died, I was absolutely distraught and you went out of your way to make it even worse for me.
“And we were happy that you could get 50% percent of your cancelled reservation back and we clearly stated you that you will have the other 50% back as a voucher for a future booking. Maybe you have forgotten it cause its a long time but I have the mail correspondence to prove it.”
– Initially, yes you offered me a voucher. However you fail to mention that you “took that off the table” when you deemed myself to be rude, because you wouldn’t bend a policy BECAUSE MY FATHER HAD DIED. Yet again, heartless. Additionally out of the 3 places we were booked into, yours is the ONLY one who did not give us a full refund voucher.

– After 10 months, I am looking to rebook our initially planned holiday with my fiance. As a result I have gone back to rebook places which DID give us a full refunded voucher. Your accommodation was the only one NOT to give us this. What I am trying to achieve is full transparency at how truly awful your hotel is to people going through the worst time of their lives. Unfortunately it has taken me 10 months to get to the point where I am able to voice my disgust at your horrible hotel, because even though you clearly couldn’t care any less, my father dying had a very big impact on my life.

– Absolutely not. The fact you were so lacking in empathy and compassion speaks volumes. You took away a 50% voucher out of spite? What an absolutely horrific way to run a company which caters to customer experience and service.
Highly recommend this place. We had an amazing stay at Spongia apartments during our 6-day trip. The hospitality and service was extraordinary. The owner and the two receptionist were really friendly and helpful. They were fast to respond and gave us driving directions when we were stuck. They were also very kind to speed up the laundry services we needed fresh clothes urgently. At the end of our stay, they gave us an airport transfer at 6am for our morning flight.
The room is really spacious and clean with all the necessities. The view from our balcony is also unparalleled and quickly became some of our favourite photo spots. We would often sit there to relax, especially during sunset and sunrise. Would definitely book a stay at Spongia if we were to return to Kalymnos!
The view from the Spongia Apartments is breathtaking! Sunset and sunrise with the Kalymnos town and the Aegean sea look like a painted canvas. Great hospitality, amazing and really helpful staff, exceptional greek traditional breakfast and sparkling/ cleaning rooms. Highly recommended 👌.
