Just a four-minute walk down from the main road, we had lunch with the best view. The staff were very friendly. We ordered a grilled pork chop for just €24, and it was a hefty ~500gr, juicy and delicious. The spaghetti seafood was outstanding, with fresh seafood, including Saint Jacques, which we hadn’t seen elsewhere. The apple pie and coffee were also excellent. Five stars don’t do our lunch justice.
Delicious seafood, gorgeous views, and great service. This restaurant has one of the best locations. It is located in the center of the caldera, near the bottom, so it is a quiet and relaxing place to enjoy the views and food. Highly recommend the mixed seafood for two. Our favourite restaurant of Santorini.
Restaurant with a great sunset view & great service!
Many choices to make for restaurants touting great sunset view… a competitive field, but really happy we ate here during one of our 3 evenings in Santorini! Had good reviews and could conveniently request a reservation online … and so I did! They were very responsive – within 15 minutes of sending in a reservation request (for a weeknight, about 1 hour before sunset), I got a confirmation.
They have different seating areas on different levels. Ours was down some flights of stairs, but with a very good view! Could watch the ships in the bay, watch the sunset, see the evening lights of Fira come on. All with good tasting food and service! Especially enjoyed the grilled octopus.
Since we ate at a varied types of places over the 3 nights, I cannot compare it between other similarly comparative places. But overall, service was attentive, food tasted good, and price was well, the expected touristy prices. No rush to clear out, and no pressure by the servers.
Another wonderful evening at Aris Restaurant. This was our second visit, served by Julio. We were seated at the same table which we were pleased about, as the view was incredible! We really enjoyed all of our food on both evenings. Big shout out to Julio, who was on both occasions was very friendly, professional and welcoming. Thank you!
Our party of 6 had a great experience at Aris on June 4th, 2024. I requested a table with a view of the sunset 2 weeks in advance via their website and their confirmation & communication was great. On the day of the reservation, I got a confirmation and when I arrived the table was perfect. The food was amazing and our server (Santos?), although he disclosed he was new, was great (all suggestions were accurate, knowledgeable about every item we asked about, wine recommendation was good). Save some room for the baklava, there is more than enough to share!
